This is my first official DISboards post (not counting my newbie post on the welcome board).

There are 8 of us that will be staying at AKV (Kidani 2 BR) Oct. 24-28. This will be my sister, BIL, and niece's first trip to WDW! Also on the trip will be DH, DS16, DD11, and DD6. I'm so excited, I can hardly contain myself!

We will arrive mid-day on Wednesday and plan to head straight to Epcot. No ADRs there, but we plan on visiting the F&W food booths.

I think it's Thursday we will be at AK and will eat at Y&Y (I don't have my notes with me presently). We'll head back to AKL and hopefully catch dinner at The Mara, before we head to MK for MNSSHP!!!!

On Friday, we are back at MK and will have a late lunch at Cindy's. We'll hopefully grab a late dinner at CHH, if we are hungry at all.

Saturday we will be at HS and have lunch ADRs at 50s PT Cafe. Any suggestions for dinner at HS?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on our plans! Can't wait to get there!

I think your choices look great. I would suggest just make sure you take a nap of the AK/MNSSHP day. It is a long day, and for the price of the party, you don't want people pooping out at 10:00.

For dinner at HS you don't have a lot of TS choices (I don't know if you want TS or CS). Sci-Fi Diner, Mama Melrose or Brown Derby. As far as CS, I really don't care for one over the other. None of them thrill me. We usually take a boat over to the Boarldwalk, but with so few days there, and since you already have one TS, I would just grab something at any of the CS places.

Friday is a MNSSHP day, so after your lunch I would just stay til the park closes at 7, then go somewhere else for dinner. Plus, I've read that CHH closes early on party days, like around 5 i think.

Thanks for the tips! I think on Friday we will maybe try DTD for a late dinner or perhaps will even try the CS at AoA. I'm kind of glad we will have that night off from the parks.

:welcome:Trip planning is so much fun, isn't it? :goodvibes

Sounds like a perfect plan! F&W is awesome and the food at the booths is so yummy! The Disney Food Blog has a great section on the festival where you can find info on the menus, concerts and other activities going on during that time. You'll want to get to MK as you can for MNSSHP. If you don't have park hoppers, then you can get into MK with your party ticket at 4. I would plan to be there just before 4 to get in line so you can maximize your party time. This would mean eating dinner at MK instead of Mara. I would pick Casey's or Pecos Bill, depending on which direction you want to head when you get there.

For the party itself, if you want photos with the 7 dwarfs or Captain Jack Sparrow, you'll want to be in line for those no later than 6. If you want the princesses/princes, no later than 6:30. So you'll probably want to eat dinner when you arrive.

On Friday, we are back at MK and will have a late lunch at Cindy's. We'll hopefully grab a late dinner at CHH, if we are hungry at all.

CHH closes at 5, I believe, so watch the clock or pick a different CS option for dinner.

50s PTC is awesome! I have it booked for my upcoming October trip. For dinner, it depends on how late you want to stay at DHS. If you want to stay till closing at DHS, then you could do CS. If you want to find something outside of DHS but still close by, you could take the boat to Boardwalk or Beach Club/Yacht Club, lots of good restaurants in the Epcot resort area.
ESPN, Kouzinna or Big River Grill at Boardwalk
Cape May Cafe or Beaches and Cream at Beach Club
Yachtsman Grill at Yacht Club

Or, if you have park hoppers, you could take the boat from DHS to Epcot and eat a CS dinner in the World Showcase.

Enjoy your planning! Your trip sounds like a lot of fun!

Wow! Those are great tips, too! I don't know if we will get to MNSSHP by 4:00. I don't think we'll close down AK, but I suspect the newbies with us will want to go back to AKV to "freshen up" before the party.

We elected not to do park hoppers this time. So Friday night we will have to choose something outside of the parks, which is fine. We are on the DP, and I imagine we will pay OP for the Friday evening meal.

I've been planning this trip for 9 months. My family and I have been to WDW six times and we are DVC owners at AKV. I am soooooo excited to bring my sister, BIL, and niece with us this time for their first trip. I hope I don't wear them out!

Planning this trip has been nerve-wracking a bit because so many times I've just wanted to go NOW! And being on these boards (I've been lurking for awhile!) has made me want to go even more. Under two months left now.

Thanks again for all your advice and kind words!
