our non-rushing (sorta) disney anniversary w/ PICS & VIDEO! new TR link - p. 136

no wonder ray wanted to go back to Epcot, look at all the drinks he was able to get.
:cool1:

great updates...loved all the pics, and the hats you were wearing.

yeah you finally get to ride peter pan.
:thumbsup2

next was germany, where i found a cowbell!!!!!!!!!!!

DSC04751.jpg

Mama!!!! You KNow I LOVES me some MORE COW BELL!!!!!!!

I can't wait to see Stepbrother! YAY!!!!

Oh, and your TR was great as expected!!!

What a nice way to start my Monday morning, with a walk around World Showcase! Excellent pictures! I'm glad Ray seems to be warming up to WS.

Even at 6:30 a.m., that pizza is looking so good!

Your hat picture is cute. Shame on those dummies in the background for laughing at you!!!

Thanks for showing the shopping goods, too!

World of Disney is an easy place to spend an hour...or hours even! That short walk or ride from Saratoga to DTD is definitely a plus for it.

Again, excellent report. Thanks for brightening my day already.
Another day brightener - Channel 5 is at this moment reporting that gas prices are falling.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I actually scrolled back to see who would laugh at you!!!

Great update... added a few drinks to my must do list!

I love the pictures of your dogs with pluto and eeyore... so cute! :cloud9:

Can't wait to hear about the last day... the only day we shared a park :)

I'm sad that your TR is almost over, I've really been enjoying it. Of course in a couple months from now I'll have my own to write, and who knows how long that will take. :rolleyes1

I think I could be like Ray and spend all day in Japan too. Even though there are no attractions there, I think that's my favorite live entertainment with the drummers and the candy lady. And I could spend a lot of time in that store, I want to do the pearl thing this trip, as well as buy a candy bar or something in every country, as well as a drink. (Not that I'll need to do that with the deluxe DDP.) The gardens are really pretty in Japan too.

I can't believe you've never seen Illuminations, that is definatly a must see.

Your dog pics are so cute. I don't think I knew you had a dog. I know I saw a lot of dog pics once on the Peep thread, but I think I was just looking at all the cuteness then of who the dogs actually belonged too.

next was morocco. the first thing we did was went to the tangeriene cafe because i wanted some baklava. i LOVE baklava and i attempt to make it at home when i'm feeling domestic. it's really hard to make and takes patience to work with the phyllo dough! we decided on some pistachio baklava that day......it was so good!!!!
DSC04729.jpg

This is a place where we have a family tradition making sure we take a picture here. You can see our pic on winkers trip report.

MMMMMMMMM!!!!! Baklavaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

great update! the picture of the man sleeping reminds me of my fear of catching my dad in a pose like that on vacation:goodvibes

I'm just catching up on your PTR and your TR (I know, I'm dedicated!) when this picture made me SQUEAL! Rivergate is very near to where I live... I didn't know there were so many DISer's out here!

I haven't posted here in a while but I've been reading along. Just wanted to tell you that I'm really enjoying your report - I love that your hubby enjoys Disney with you. My husband doesn't care for Disney at all which usually doesn't bother me - except when I read about all the fun things you guys did together. Thankfully my daughter is a Disney nut like me! :)

So with all this drinking, you are both still standing?? No wonder the heat was getting to you.:)

Dawn, you must tell me more about the Pokemon things in Japan. My ds is FREAKED out in LOVE with, as my dh refers to it... Hokeypoky. :rotfl2:

To ILuvXU's point... You should totally make a drink list of drinks one should try in WDW. That would be awesome!:worship:

i don't know how we were still standing, to tell you the truth! we were sharing all of them though so that helps. plus all this drinking was done in a time span of about 6 hours, so it was spaced out. about the pokemon, you don't have to look far to find that stuff in the japan store. and you can't miss the store - it's HUGE. it's the same store where the lady does the pearl thing. all the pokemon stuff was near the front, if i remember correctly. we got josh (ray's nephew) a big fat pokemon pillow for like $20. i can't remember the name of the character, but they had LOTS to choose from!

Ray just took it tonight with his cell...usually those don't come out that great. I was impressed with his photography skills this time around!! :thumbsup2

well, it's super cute!

great update and pics.

sad it is the last day but happy it is the best. can't wait to hear about it.

love the souvies you got. :thumbsup2

yes, it was definitely the best day! and don't worry......it will take me awhile to write it all. we went from 8:00 a.m. to midnight......:scared1:

This is from 2 years ago : http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1188018

and my Disneyland one is from the following December : http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1344628
I thought about just adding subsequent DL trips to this one, but not so many people read the DL reports, so it didn't seem worth the work. I am just about to upload the pictures from my recent trip, so maybe I'll just tack them onto the end.

cool! i will definitley check these out once i get out from under my pile of work, probably next week. let me know if you add the photos from this trip...i'd love to see them!

 Eli with Eeyore. OMGosh, too adorable!

:thumbsup2 Love the pictures!!!!!

Did you touch my drum set???? :rotfl2: :lmao:

we got eeyore for eli because he reminds us of eeyore. he's droopy and chubby!

OMG......that scene was HILARIOUS!!!!!!! but it was kinda scary at the same time. i was laughing hysterically but at the same time i had my legs pulled up to my chest and i was peeking through my fingers at the screen. :lmao:

Maybe he was drunk.....;)

maybe......:rolleyes1 or maybe he was just from new jersey.

Ichi....ni.....san....shi....go

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT SHE WAS SAYING!!!!!!! :rotfl2: you know your peepage.

Again great minds think alike....
51901s_wdw_pic_048.jpg

this is hilarious!!! :rotfl: who's the cute little lady in front of you? that's classic. i hope you have that framed somewhere so you can look at it often.

I love that picture!!!:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

It's great to see Ray enjoying epcot so much! Was it the refreshments that helped to change his mind?;)

hmmmmmm......maybe! they couldn't hurt! that picture cracks me up too!!! he's such a lovable dork!

:lmao: Jordan, you look like someone has a gun to your back making you pose for the picture!:rotfl:

:lmao:

Hi Dawn! I'm finally caught up! I am so busy right now, I just can't keep up - when I stop to read a TR, I fall asleep! Not that yours is boring! :lmao:

I love your trip around the world - lots of adult beverages! :thumbsup2 The picture of you with the flowers is just beautiful! :flower3: I can't believe it's your last day already. I'm glad its almost time for you to start reporting from your September trip!

i hear ya! i'm swamped too. i'm sure our september trip will be a blast!!! we decided not to do a pre-TR......just too busy right now. plus i have no idea if i will be done with this one or not before we leave.

Just showing Punkin how the Peeps man up.

:cool2:

So excited to hear about the best day of the trip, but so very sad that it has to end

don't worry.....it will take me forever to finish it because it was a FULL day!

What a nice way to start my Monday morning, with a walk around World Showcase! Excellent pictures! I'm glad Ray seems to be warming up to WS.

could've been the beer......or the vodka......or the sake.......or the wine......or even the tequila. not sure. i don't care......he had fun!!!

Even at 6:30 a.m., that pizza is looking so good!

doesn't it????? erica and i are gonna try to stop by there at some point for some good food!

Your hat picture is cute. Shame on those dummies in the background for laughing at you!!!

i had to go back and look at this. you are so silly!!!!!! :lmao:

Thanks for showing the shopping goods, too!

no problemo.

World of Disney is an easy place to spend an hour...or hours even! That short walk or ride from Saratoga to DTD is definitely a plus for it.

we loved it! literally we'd walk out the door, take a left on the sidewalk, walk through a shaded area, then take a right at the main street and over a bridge into marketplace. it was awesome!

Again, excellent report. Thanks for brightening my day already.
Another day brightener - Channel 5 is at this moment reporting that gas prices are falling.

i'm glad i was able to make you smile today!!!!!! i hope that's true about gas. and i hope it sticks through mid-september so erica and i don't spend a fortune on gas!!!!

Another fun update. Love the pics with the dogs!

thanks!!! i had to share those - they're so cute.

Oh, love your pix around WS - my favorite place!:cloud9: Looks like an absolutely beautiful day and Ray seems hooked!

Can't believe you've never seen Illuminations! (then again, I'VE never seen Wishes!) Anyway, it brings a tear to my eye every time I see it. I love it!

Man, I can't believe you had Sake. I can handle most alcohol but that stuff -- :scared: !

oh, i can't belive you've never seen wishes! i just LOVE that show. we have to promise each other that we will see the other person's favorite show next trip! i like sake but i have to be in the mood for it. my sister drinks it hot and i can't handle it like that.....it just seems stronger when it's hot!

I think I will pass on the sake then and stick with my fruity drinks -- sake sounds a bit harsh for me.

it's even worse when it's hot. brooke (my sis) drinks it hot and it's so gross. she will be burping sake all night after that!

One of my friends and I tend to quote "Talladega Nights." Our favorite: "We go together like Chinese food and chocolate pudding." :rotfl:

:rotfl: ray loves that movie. brooke has been saying, "hey miss lady" ever since we saw stepbrothers. and my brother has been saying, "holy santa claus sh*t!" you have to see it to understand!

Great update Dawn. :lmao: That picture of all the speed demons cracked me up! :lmao: :lmao: I love amaretto cookies! Were they good from the Italy pavilion? They sell them at all the bakeries around here :cake: I'm glad you guys had a good time at Epcot. Did it win Ray over? And I love that picture of you two in front of Spaceship Earth; with all the topiaries it came out gorgeous!

Great souvenirs too :thumbsup2

the amaretto cookies were devine!!!!! i think epcot won ray over to an extent. it's not his favorite park - he'd rather go to MK. but it's not banned from our future trips any more!

no wonder ray wanted to go back to Epcot, look at all the drinks he was able to get.
:cool1:

great updates...loved all the pics, and the hats you were wearing.

yeah you finally get to ride peter pan.
:thumbsup2

i LOVE peter pan!!!!! the ride is not all that exciting, but it's a classic and that's my favorite disney movie.....i love the "never grow up" theme.

Mama!!!! You KNow I LOVES me some MORE COW BELL!!!!!!!

I can't wait to see Stepbrother! YAY!!!!

Oh, and your TR was great as expected!!!

don't take your kids to see that movie! i'm warning you....it's very vulgar. your older DS would be okay as long as you're comfortable with him seeing things like "superbad". it is REALLY funny though!

i got a fever......

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I actually scrolled back to see who would laugh at you!!!

Great update... added a few drinks to my must do list!

i had to go back and look at that too!!

I love the pictures of your dogs with pluto and eeyore... so cute! :cloud9:

Can't wait to hear about the last day... the only day we shared a park :)

it will take me awhile to get our final day done because it was such a long, wonderful day. i still can't believe we didn't see each other AGAIN!!!

I'm sad that your TR is almost over, I've really been enjoying it. Of course in a couple months from now I'll have my own to write, and who knows how long that will take. :rolleyes1

I think I could be like Ray and spend all day in Japan too. Even though there are no attractions there, I think that's my favorite live entertainment with the drummers and the candy lady. it will take me awhile to finish my final day so no worries....you'll be reading this for at least the next month! i didn't realize you could get drinks on the deluxe DDP? unless you're talking about non-alcoholic drinks. oh, and don't worry - we will see illuminations in december so ray will get to see it. plus i'm going in september with my friend erica and i'm pretty sure we'll see it then, too.

oh, my dogs are my CHILDREN!!!! seriously - it's ridiculous how spoiled they are. they're both laying at my feet right now snoozing. i'm pretty sure i was one of the ones who posted pics of them on the peep thread. i love showing them off!

I don't want it to end.

MORE COWBELL!!!!

my last day will take at least a month to write, so you've got awhile!

i want you to really explore the space......:rotfl:

:yay: Love the Cowbell too!!!!!!!!!!!!

the cowbell is so loved!!!!! ray actually put a cowbell thingie on my iphone. when i press it, it makes the sound of a cowbell and when i turn it off and on it says, "i gotta have more cowbell" in christopher walken's voice. :rotfl2:

This is a place where we have a family tradition making sure we take a picture here. You can see our pic on winkers trip report.

MMMMMMMMM!!!!! Baklavaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

oh, i have seen that picture.....don't you worry! :rotfl: you should try making baklava at home. it's really hard to work with the phyllo dough but it's fun and when you're done it usually turns out pretty good - it's hard to mess it up!

great update! the picture of the man sleeping reminds me of my fear of catching my dad in a pose like that on vacation:goodvibes

that guy was hilarious!!!

I'm just catching up on your PTR and your TR (I know, I'm dedicated!) when this picture made me SQUEAL! Rivergate is very near to where I live... I didn't know there were so many DISer's out here!

i grew up in gallatin, so i used to go to rivergate all the time. how cool!!!

i'm lucky because ray's mom took him to disney world every summer as a kid. so i think being there brings back a lot of memories for him and that's why he enjoys it. i don't know how he'd feel about it if he didn't have the history there. glad you have your daughter to share the magic with!!!

it will take me awhile to finish my final day so no worries....you'll be reading this for at least the next month! i didn't realize you could get drinks on the deluxe DDP? unless you're talking about non-alcoholic drinks. oh, and don't worry - we will see illuminations in december so ray will get to see it. plus i'm going in september with my friend erica and i'm pretty sure we'll see it then, too.

I can't get drinks on the DDP, that's just going to be a lot of OOP costs, I mean even if I only spend $7 or whatever on a drink, times eleven, that'll be almost $100. I think I need to budget $200 for my alcohol, plus $200 for tips. At least I'll have the DDE to help out.

My cat is probably just as spoiled as your dogs. I'm not "allowed" to buy her anything this trip, since she already has a full line of Disney leashes, toys, and treats. Well, the treats are long gone, but she has had all the Disney treats. My sister's cat, and my grandmother's dog both have a lot of Disney stuff as well.

And as far as spoiled dogs go, my aunt's are the most spoiled dogs ever. They can never stay in a kennel, so anytime my aunt visits, the dogs must come with her. I love it when they come, my parents, not so much. The dogs get hugs and kisses before my aunt and uncle do, LOL.

it's even worse when it's hot. brooke (my sis) drinks it hot and it's so gross. she will be burping sake all night after that!

:rotfl: ray loves that movie. brooke has been saying, "hey miss lady" ever since we saw stepbrothers. and my brother has been saying, "holy santa claus sh*t!" you have to see it to understand!

:scared: Definitely passing on the sake.

Oh, I have no doubt I will see and laugh myself sick -- I haven't missed a Will Ferrell movie yet.

OMG......that scene was HILARIOUS!!!!!!! but it was kinda scary at the same time. i was laughing hysterically but at the same time i had my legs pulled up to my chest and i was peeking through my fingers at the screen. :lmao:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: That scene is forever burned in my mind and I think watching it tore my corneas.

You REALLY did not want to work huh??? :rotfl:

Great update!

That green tea plum wine looked good :thumbsup2 ....sorry it didn't taste so.

I don't think I've ever ridden Malstrom, and we will definitely go in Mexico...it's great!

I really have trouble thinking those nacho's were made in advance....they would be really crappy in about 10-15mins :scared:

Good grief you guys got a lot of stuff.....I may do the same this time b/c I was REALLY good in December!

PRECIOUS pictures of the babies :upsidedow I like Eli's Eeyore!

oh, and also i finally ride this........
clueDSC04825.jpg
ONE OF MY FAVES!!! :yay:

Awww, I love the picture of Eli with the eyeore doll!!! So sweet!!! I love furbabies!!!!!:goodvibes

i hope that's true about gas. and i hope it sticks through mid-september so erica and i don't spend a fortune on gas!!!

Amen Sister! No hurricanes, no hurricanes, no hurricanes

and my brother has been saying, "holy santa claus sh*t!" you have to see it to understand!

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

the cowbell is so loved!!!!! ray actually put a cowbell thingie on my iphone. when i press it, it makes the sound of a cowbell and when i turn it off and on it says, "i gotta have more cowbell" in christopher walken's voice. :rotfl2:

That's great. I think I agree with Brett. I need to take that phone away from you ;) . We should get ours tomorrow.....lets just hope its all set up correctly so I don't have a come-apart

I'm so glad you called me to meet up with you guys this weekend. It was a lot of fun!! You need to e-mail me that pic of us if you can. Sorry I didn't call you back tonight, not sure what happened to my time :confused3 And thanks again for my CUTE shirt ::MinnieMo

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: That scene is forever burned in my mind and I think watching it tore my corneas.

Agree.....but it was HILARIOUS!! :lmao:

Sarilas :welcome: We have a lot of fun over here.....hope you enjoy :teeth:
