Depending on the timing, you were IN R&C while we were OUTSIDE R&C watchng one of the street shows. Two trips ago, we had an ADR for R&C and hoped to be able to see Illuminations from one of the balconies. I asked if we could sit out on the patio. We waited for what seemed like hours. I approached the check in counter to see if we had been called. They said we were called several times. The buzzer never went off. In 5 minutes they had us seated - yeah you guessed it - out on the patio with the best seats ever for Illuminations. Unfortunately, both cameras (video and photo) had dead batteries after a full day at WS.
Enjoying your trip so far.
thanks! i can't believe you guys were so close and i didn't know it! figures. i remember that part of winkers' TR about getting those great seats for illuminations. i'll have to remember that for future trips!
The flower and garden festival looks so pretty! I'd love to go then, but I'm a teacher, so it will probably never happen. I'm glad you were able to enjoy Epoct. Cute top you had on that day!
thanks! i got that top at pac sun, i think.
Love that Tink birdbath!
Your shirt is so cute in these pics.
Sounds like Ray had an awesome time in Epcot. The beer flight looks SOOO good! It sounds like your lunch was so nice and relaxing.
thanks! as i said above, i got that shirt at pac sun. and yes, ray enjoyed his beer flight immensely!
I found your trip report and read it through today. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it! The picture of your DH with the beer flight was hilarious!! I live in Georgia too (and have also never seen a peach tree LOL!). I'm figuring you must be about an hour south of me as it takes us about 8 hours to get to Disney (we're in Rome). Anyway, we will be in Disney for free dining in September (2-11). I am so excited and already counting down the days now! I need to get working on a pre-trip report...maybe one of these days I will.
wow! i live near athens, just up I-85 from atlanta. i'm like right in between gainesville and athens. my girls trip is in early september, too! so we'll be there the same time as you. please say hello if you see me!!!
I hope she does do a TR....I would love to hear their stories!!!!
i'm gonna try to get her to do one, but if she doesn't i'll post some of their pics.
I
sunflowers!!!
me too!
I bet you could fit in the little girls size
um.....yeah, right. have you seen my ba-dunk-a-dunk???
I noticed you weren't counting Ray's drinks
Rose and Crown looks VERY nice.....I didn't really think much about it before but that might be one I have to add to my list!
it was nice. it's a not a must-do for us but we'd do it again if we had the chance! and no, i don't count ray's drinks. he can handle WAY more than i can, unless it's jager and then he's doomed.
Great minds think alike. Mine was taken at
Disneyland....
These are some of the BEST Wishes/Castle pix I've ever seen on the DIS.
wow.....you don't get out much, do you?

i just don't think they're that great but i'm probably my own worst critic.
Maybe that was in the adult diaper on the monorail
very likely!
OK, Dawn, your pictures are like the emperor's new clothes. Everyone is raving and I can't see a thing.
That's so funny about the "poopily" smell on the monorail, because we smelled it on one trip, and I've seen others write about it as well. It's like there's a gassy poltergeist on it or something.

Crazy!
that's wierd that the pictures weren't showing up! hmmmm...... a gassy poltergeist, huh? could be! it was SOMETHING!!! funny how other people have mentioned it. so maybe it wasn't our fellow monorail passengers that needed to change their adult diapers!
The Canada 'put your head in the hole' thing was gone when we were there a couple of weeks ago. I was going to do a Hidden MeMom picture, but it was not there. I guess they were cleaning or painting it or something.
bummer - i would've loved to see a missing memom pic there!
With your aversion to birds, you spent money on a bathtub for them?!?!? How kind of you! I guess it's okay if they are outside taking a bath and you are safely on the other side of the window.
my reasoning exactly!!!
Last day of camp today - I can catch up on all the reading this weekend. I just scrolled through the pictures before I started the day. This morning's breakfast menu: waffles, eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, cinnamon toast, and cereal.
that breakfast sounds WONDERFUL. send some to me! you know you want to drive 5 hours just to feed me breakfast!
Is Brooke going to share pictures from her trip?
Have a good Friday!
i'm trying to get brooke to write a TR, but if she doesn't i'll beg her to let me share her pics. i don't think she'd mind.
Hi Dawn, all of those flowers in Epcot look so beautiful! You saw so many cute topiaries you would think it was the flower festival - oh wait, it was! The butterfly garden was so cool - is that there all the time? My DDIL would love to see that! The picture of the 3 smokestacks reminds me of Mary Poppins. I could just see the chimney sweeps dancing around up there...."step in time!"
i don't think the butterfly garden is there all the time, but i'm not positive. i think it was just there for the festival. very try about the chimney stacks! now i'm singing that song in my head!
I KNOW!!!!!!

but i didn't argue - i was too shocked to do anything but nod!
Oooh, love the birdbath! So pretty!!!
I wonder if Disney would send it back to Australia for me for free, instead of just back to our Disney hotel... Heh.
But Dawn.... Butterflies!!?!

Terrifying!!! I had to whizz through those photos, sorry.
Ray looks very handsome with his beer moustache.
sorry about the butterflies! you'd think being scared of birds that butterflies would bother me, too. but they don't. i think it's because they don't have a beak and claws.
OK, now the pictures are showing up.
good! i was worried about that.

Fabulous update!!!!!

Your photos are amazing and are making me SO happy that we chose next May to visit WDW!!!!

DH loves flowers and plants too so this is going to be really neat. You have also sold me on Rose and Crown!

It just moved from my maybe list to my must-do list!
great! rose and crown was great and according to winkers and her DH, it's a GREAT place to see illuminations if you're lucky enough to have a patio table on the water during the show. be sure to schedule a good bit of time for epcot if your DH loves flowers. there's LOTS to see during the festival and there are so many different little exhibits and stuff he'd probably enjoy. and the weather is AMAZING in may. are you going in early may? if so, the crowds will be awesome too.
