our non-rushing (sorta) disney anniversary w/ PICS & VIDEO! new TR link - p. 136

I have to start this installment by apologizing. you see, i had a case of flat people amnesia on this day. i totally forgot about our flat travel companions until later that night. i'm sorry beana and mattica! i hope you'll forgive me. you were not forgotten for the rest of the trip....i promise!

No problemo

mr. incredible felt my bicep and gave me a thumbs up, then he felt ray's and gave him a thumbs down and shook his head. :rotfl2:

That's hilarious!!!

You have the cutest hugging pics!!

he was so sweet! i told him we were gonna go see his show tonight (fantasmic) and he got excited about that!

Awwwwww.....CUTE!!!

DSC04119.jpg
now here is ray's. please contain your laughter. i think his looks like a rabbit. bless his heart, he tried.

DSC04117.jpg

Ok, Ms THING!! Yes, you did a very good job.......

But I think Ray did VERY well!!! I would know exactly who that was if you showed it to me, and it doesn't even look like Rabbit :faint:

You just wait.....I'm not even going to let you take a picture of mine

We will have to go look over this really well, b/c I want to see it without the lights and think about where things were, and you can check it out closer and then look at it in Dec with ALL the lights.....it is SO cool!!!!! :santa:

I want to see this show.....I don't think I ever have

That is TOOOOOOO funny!!!! People ARE rude!!! :furious:

that's all for tonight. i went swimming today and i have a headache, i think from the nasty lake water. yuck!

I sawwy you have a headache....I think Matt had one all day today :rotfl2:

:dance3: :yay: :woohoo:  3 MONTHS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Ray's Drawing isn't the worst I've seen.......You've inspired me to try the Animation Academy the next time I'm there......:thumbsup2

The lady on the cell phone...at least you gotta a picture.....;)

Can't wait to hear about the I SPY.....

Hope you feel better.......::yes::

Very good pictures. Nice poses with The Incredibles!

Save your making fun of pictures stuff until you see mine. Hopefully we'll get to do that on this trip, and then there will truly be something to make fun of! Even my stick people are pretty pathetic. :crazy2:

Hehee, love the photo of the cell phone lady!

Ray's picture of Pooh is cute! It kinda looks like a cross between Pooh, and that scary psycho bunny in Donnie Darko. Heeeee.

Looking forward to her how you liked you Mama Melrose dinner! :thumbsup2

Glad you liked LMA! When Ray and I saw it in June of 06 it was about 95 degrees and we had to sit near the front. The heat/fire from the stunts was horrible and we both had sweat dripping off our faces. We swore not to see it again but I bet my dad's gf's son will want to in Aug...we will just sit farther back!!! :thumbsup2

I'm also curious to hear how MM's was...we aren't big Italian eaters but I'd like to see pics at least. :goodvibes

Love the Installment Dawn, the animation drawings were too cute, do you think kids could sit through that or is it super long. I know Luke would love it and Lauren would attempt but if it's drawn out we'd have to skip it.
Glad you saw the stunt car show, I thought the same as you, but I loved it too, it is a cool show. I like the grabbing snacks idea before it, we have sat there for a LONG time in the heat waiting for it to start, I'll buy snacks before this time :thumbsup2
Love how you said "seriously!" out loud to get the guy to move, I would have done the same I say "seriously" a lot , especially in disney:rotfl: .
I love the pic of the rude lady on the cell too, what nerve!!!!:confused3
Can't wait for more!popcorn::
Lesley

Great pics of DHS! We haven't done the Animation thing or LMA before -- we may need to fit them in now that I have seen your pictures!

Dawn we did the animation class and we drew Mickey but mine looked more like Winnie :rotfl:

Good stuff! I love your pictures! So fun!

You handled those rude people faboulously! haha I love it!

Great update! I'm glad you "front'ed" (he he) on the people cutting in line. And the picture of the lady cracked me up. Like what was she thinking when you took her picture? :lmao: A friend of mine and I will text pictures of people we see out and about that make us laugh. Like a lady in wal-mart with a big 80's bangs and mullet action?
And I know you told us not to laugh at Ray's drawing, but does giggling count as laughing?:confused3

Love this update! :thumbsup2

OK, you're the best and I'll tell you why! We missed the Beauty and Beast show the last 2 times we were at DHS and I was really bummed about it. Seeing your pictures of the show, oooooh, I'm just SO excited to see now. Even more than before if that's possible! :woohoo: I first saw the movie as a teenager but immediately fell in love with it!

Secondally, I've been VERY curious to see what the animation tour is all about. People have described it but I've never seen pictures. My 3 DD's and I LOVE to draw and want to do this when we go in November! It looks so cool! So, everyone gets a clipboard and seat? Awesome! I wish you were continually on vacation at Disney so you could ALWAYS be doing a trip report! :goodvibes

Your trip report is so much fun! You both always look like you're having the best time, no matter what you're doing. Thanks for being so detailed and I love all the pictures! :goodvibes

Hi Dawn, Loved the update! :thumbsup2 The video was great - we haven't seen LMA yet, either. It is definately on the list for March, as well as the animation tour. We have seen the Mushu part (lame) and then we toured the sales part - DH really wants to buy a sketch next time - but we haven't tried the drawing class. We will have to try it - BTW, I like Ray's drawing, it has alot of character! Of course yours if Fabulous darling!

I have to disagree with you about Ray's drawing of Pooh, I don't think it looks like a rabbit, I think it looks a little bit like Pip, the chipmunk from Enchanted. :lmao:

That is a really cool pic of the Studios that you took at LMA of the hat, TOT, and the Chinese theater.

I read your Dec plans, and I think it would be hard for a four-year old to sit through. I consider it a very entertaining church service, but I've seen it before, and it's nothing I would feel the need to sit through again. Plus, if you don't have the dining package, the line is insane.

Your Christmas itinerary sounds so great! That is one thing I really really want to do. Just go and take in everything Christmas. I am hoping to convice DH that we could swing a long weekend in December!

we're staying off site and only getting base tickets to save money so we can go in december. that's how it was possible for us. hope you can manage it!

So it seems like you ran into two annoying people: the person trying to cut in line (I just can't stand those) and the annoying cell phone woman. Besides that, it seems pretty neat that you were able to do so much in such as short period of time. Oh yeah, and that Pooh picture is pretty funny (Pooh-Dawg). I have never done the whole animation/drawing thing and I look forward to doing it next time I go to WDW.

everyone always comments on how we get so much done in such a short amount of time. and we don't feel like we do! i guess it's because we don't have kids and don't linger at things as long. i know how my best friend's four-year-old wants to take his time doing EVERYTHING so i'm sure that's a factor. the drawing thing is so fun! definitely try it next time.

Dawn..I LOVE That you regulated on that rude line cutter AND the phone talker...absolutely hilarious that you took her picture..much kudos ;)!
Love the update..i seriously laughed out loud when you said your pooh pic looked gangstah and ray's like a rabbit...so cute...i need to do that next time!
OH and YAY for your dec. plans! I loved our dec. trip..the weather was PERFECT!!!!

did you have to wear a jacket at night in december? what about during the day? i would imagine so definitely at night b/c we had to wear them at night in late april. you should try the drawing thing next time - it's so fun!

Dawn love the update. I love the Indiana Jones show. I have never seen the LMA show so that's definately something I can't wait to see. I thought your Pooh pictures came out really good. I can draw a stick figure really good ;)

well, i'm not normally the artsy type and can't draw worth a flip, but they take you through it step by step so it's really easy.

:rotfl: Actually, we are going back to WDW in September too, so I am right there with you. Plus, I am not anxious to have cold weather here again.

what is it with us always JUST missing each other???? i think you're going in september like 2 weeks after me. we need to start consulting each other on our dates!

Oops! I didn't see that you had updated until after my previous post. Great update Dawn! :thumbsup2 I have a very similar pic from Lights, Motor, Action with the hat, theater, and ToT. I didn't notice it until the second time we saw the show, but I also thought it was cool and took a pic. Can't wait to hear more. :)

thanks! yeah, i thought it was cool that you could see the rest of the park over the top of the set. guess you have to sit pretty far up to notice it though.

You have the cutest hugging pics!!

thanks! the photopass person always seems to catch me hugging the characters.

Ok, Ms THING!! Yes, you did a very good job.......

But I think Ray did VERY well!!! I would know exactly who that was if you showed it to me, and it doesn't even look like Rabbit :faint:

You just wait.....I'm not even going to let you take a picture of mine

mine turned out better than i thought it would. the whole time i was doing it, i was thinking oh my.....this is going to be funny! ray's looked better than mine until he drew those ginormous ears! :rotfl:

We will have to go look over this really well, b/c I want to see it without the lights and think about where things were, and you can check it out closer and then look at it in Dec with ALL the lights.....it is SO cool!!!!! :santa:

definitely! wait until you see the picture i took there later on.

I want to see this show.....I don't think I ever have

it was cool. not my favorite, but we'll defintely try to catch it. they only show it like twice a day, so we'll have to pay attention to the time guide.

That is TOOOOOOO funny!!!! People ARE rude!!! :furious:

i know! i couldn't believe she was talking on her phone LOUDLY. i understand if you have to take a call, but talk in a low voice, maybe even cover up your mouth with your hand to muffle it. this woman was like talking OVER the show. :confused3

I sawwy you have a headache....I think Matt had one all day today :rotfl2:

i think mine was from too much sun and who-knows-what in the lake we went to yesterday.

:dance3: :yay: :woohoo:  3 MONTHS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

we're under 3 months today!!!!!!!!!! ::yes:: :hyper: :yay:

Ray's Drawing isn't the worst I've seen.......You've inspired me to try the Animation Academy the next time I'm there......:thumbsup2

The lady on the cell phone...at least you gotta a picture.....;)

Can't wait to hear about the I SPY.....

Hope you feel better.......::yes::

i will definitely try to do it next time i'm there - it was fun! i had to get that photo.....couldn't resist taking a picture of an idiot!

Very good pictures. Nice poses with The Incredibles!

Save your making fun of pictures stuff until you see mine. Hopefully we'll get to do that on this trip, and then there will truly be something to make fun of! Even my stick people are pretty pathetic. :crazy2:

i'm not normally a good artist AT ALL. but they take you through it step by step and it's really easy. but i still wanna see yours!

Hehee, love the photo of the cell phone lady!

Ray's picture of Pooh is cute! It kinda looks like a cross between Pooh, and that scary psycho bunny in Donnie Darko. Heeeee.

Looking forward to her how you liked you Mama Melrose dinner!

i had to get her picture...what a dingbat! i'll tell ray that someone thought his picture was cute!

:thumbsup2

I'm also curious to hear how MM's was...we aren't big Italian eaters but I'd like to see pics at least.

yeah, i remembered that and i told my ray that we didn't want to sit close to the front because of the heat. it wasn't too hot that day anyway. we sat about halfway up and to the right.

Lesley

no, it's not long at all. there were lots of kids in there with us. one little boy actually got to move right up front because his mom had forgotten his glasses. i tend to say "seriously" while at disney a lot too. :lmao:

Great pics of DHS! We haven't done the Animation thing or LMA before -- we may need to fit them in now that I have seen your pictures!

the animation class is fun! you should try it. remember not to sit too close if you go to LMA. i'm sure it'll be hot when you guys go and the heat from the cars and fire can be intense.

Dawn we did the animation class and we drew Mickey but mine looked more like Winnie :rotfl:

:rotfl2: i wanted to draw mickey! oh, well. maybe next time.

Good stuff! I love your pictures! So fun!

You handled those rude people faboulously! haha I love it!

thanks! sometimes i have a tendency to say TOO much. i'm learning with age that subtlety and at times over-friendliness is the key. ;) although i wouldn't call taking that woman's picture subtle - that was just to shock into getting off the phone! :rotfl:

Great update! I'm glad you "front'ed" (he he) on the people cutting in line. And the picture of the lady cracked me up. Like what was she thinking when you took her picture? :lmao: A friend of mine and I will text pictures of people we see out and about that make us laugh. And I know you told us not to laugh at Ray's drawing, but does giggling count as laughing?:confused3

i hope it made her feel as stupid as she looked! that was my intent anyway. she hung up quickly after i took the pic. go ahead......giggle. i won't tell.

Love this update! :thumbsup2

OK, you're the best and I'll tell you why! We missed the Beauty and Beast show the last 2 times we were at DHS and I was really bummed about it. Your trip report is so much fun! You both always look like you're having the best time, no matter what you're doing. Thanks for being so detailed and I love all the pictures! :goodvibes

glad i could get you even more excited about your trip! when i babysat my brother and sister the summer before my senior year (1993), they watched beauty & the beast EVERY morning as i was making them breakfast, so i know EVERY line and it grew to be one of my favorites. definitely try the animation class - it's fun to see what your drawing turns out to look like! and, oh, by the way, if you want to fund my trips i will be happy to be on vacation at disney for you! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Hi Dawn, Loved the update! :thumbsup2 The video was great - we haven't seen LMA yet, either. It is definately on the list for March, as well as the animation tour. We have seen the Mushu part (lame) and then we toured the sales part - DH really wants to buy a sketch next time - but we haven't tried the drawing class. We will have to try it - BTW, I like Ray's drawing, it has alot of character! Of course yours if Fabulous darling!

the mushu part was lame in my opinion. i wonder if you can skip it and go straight to the character greeting room, where you can skip that too if you want and just get in line for the animation class? it's worth a try!

I have to disagree with you about Ray's drawing of Pooh, I don't think it looks like a rabbit, I think it looks a little bit like Pip, the chipmunk from Enchanted. :lmao:

i do see a bit of pip in there! that's too funny! about the candlelight processional, that's what i've heard from others too. it's really a good show, but once you've seen it then it's not something you'd necessarily repeat. so maybe we can catch it someday. i'm not really worried about missing it - i think i'd rather just take my time and walk through WS and just take in all the christmas decorations!

I think you are freaking awesome! That cell phone picture has got to go down in history. I'm a bit outspoken so would have probably done the same thing and then my poor DH would crawl into a hole and die. ;) Wonderful pictures! Wonderful update Dawn!

Great Update! MY User CP almost made me miss it!!! The pic of all the landmarks over the set was really neat! We LOVE the animation studio, DH can't get enough of drawing characters! One of these days I'll see the stunt show (It won't eb on my next trip in August in the heat tho!).

The animation looks fun! I'll bet my drawing would be worse than Ray's...art always stressed me out! I think we might have to give it a shot though!

Dawn! The pic of the lady on the cell is hilarious!!!!! My hubby was looking at my like I was crazy I was laughing so hard!!:rotfl2:

I'm so glad you said something about the line skippers! One of my biggest pet peeves!

I've noticed that some people yell when they're on their cell phones........like look at me! I have a cell phone!!!:confused3

I love the pic with the Incredibles! You always get into the pictures!:thumbsup2
