I know it has the areas for handicap spots. Call and see how they handle it. The only issue is the dining car and the cafe are up the stairs. But they may still may be able to accommodate for that.

Since it's pretty much a hypothetical trip on the train to our cruise, I will wait to call them until there is something more concrete.

When you do, I have found them to be very helpful. And the people on the train are very helpful and courteous. Once you try it , oh my goodness you find out how nice it is not to drive. You could try a short trip. It was nice to take the train when we left on our cruise from SF.
