Our MNSSHP experience from 9/15....

Karen,
Thanks so much for posting such a detailed report. We are going this Friday night for our first time. I am making sure we take ponchos no matter what the forecast says!
Susan

thanks for the great report!! we've never been but will be for the 10/31 party..my only concern at this point is that my 77 year old MIL doesn't get pushed around ...we're hoping to get her one of those electric carts ( 2 knee replacements in 1 year )....and your photo's were also fantastic! reading your report has me wishing I was leaving sooner than I am ...lol...

have a great day :wave2: Michelle

Karen, thanks for posting! Your pictures were great! I also wanted to thank you for taking time out to speak with Guest Relations concerning non armband wearing guests. We will be going 10/19.

Wow! Your pics are fantastic -- very photogenic family! :flower1:

Thanks for posting -- I'll make sure to take a poncho or my costume will melt for sure :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Thanks so much for taking time to share your experience. I am glad to know I will be able to get in for my 4:35 ADR at CP. The pics are great, esp the coach for my dd7! I leave Wednesday! :cool1:

Thanks Karen for a wonderful report. We are going to the party on the 2nd, hopefully by then they will be a little better keeping the non payers out.

your pictures came out great!

Bev

Thanks for reporting. I'm so excited about our upcoming trip and 2 MNSSHP that I can barelt contain myself!!!!!! Sorry about the rain. I've got my fingers crossed that we will experience 2 parties on rainless nights.

Love your pictures and thanks for the trip report, I helps to know what to expect, since I am a first-timer at MNSSHP.

I wanted to know if the guy sitting in the HM coach was really there or if he was put in there after the fact? He's really glowy and cool looking in the picture.

Thanks
Aryn

The big negative that we experienced, in addition to the unpleasant weather, were the adults that really pushed and shoved. We experienced it on the parade route after we had staked out a spot, and again at the Villiams Mix & Mingle when the characters came down and there was not an apparent line. We were attempting to leave the area and a man actually knocked DH (who is 200 lbs, 6 feet tall) into the curved wall area to the left of the castle walkway. I know people were excited to see rare characters, but that was unreal!

I'm sorry about the pushing and shoving. I know that due to rain the Villains' Mix & Mingle only performed once (the 11:15 show) so that might have had something to do with the larger number of guests. I was told the villains did do some "mingling" though at the other listed times, even though there was no stage show. I'd love to see any pictures you have of it, as I was unable to get any. Did you enjoy the show? I hear it's different from last year's.

Thanks for the report!

Scott

I thought only the 10:15 show was cancelled, but the villians still came down, perhaps I'm mistaken. I know we heard the music at least 1 other time during the evening. The show was cute, we were just tired at that point and the crowd was pretty thick. We were near the front left (looking at the castle) right in the front. The dancers were good, and the Villians really performed well considered the heat & their costumes.

The HM ghost was added after the fact.

Glad you all liked the pics, hope our Christmas ones are even better as I plan on losing even more weight before that trip, lol!

I will post some more that DH took with his camera, he played around with the one pic he took of the Headless Horseman and it looks pretty decent! I try to get that one off his computer & over to mine to post it. :)

great report and loved the pictures!!!!!!we leave on wed and going to party on friday... can't wait......

Thanks for the post!!! I'm hoping for no rain this Friday night, but I will be prepared. We were at WDW 4 years ago during the same week of September and ended up buying yellow ponchos because we encountered a rain shower every day while we were there. This time we know better.

DH wears a cochlear implant that can't get wet, so he wasn't able to hear the cool parade music, or the villians mix & mingle music, etc.. that really put the damper on things for him & our family.

Can't help with the Villians Mix and Mingle, but if you check out this link towards the bottom you can download the float loops for your DH to listen to.

Great review - can't wait for my turn in 2 weeks!

Thanks for the report! I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience at the Plaza the night of the party. We're planning to dine their before we attend MNSSHP in October.
