~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

Hey girl-- I didn't know you posted an update, I was waiting to see it in your Thread title..anyhoo.. I loved this update for a few reasons. One being that I enjoyed reading about the brown Derby and I just can't wait to get one of those hidden mickey books.

OMG, I love that wedding pic in your sig!!

Yay, other Full House fans!

I loved Full House when I was little...:yay:

Great update! It's so cool you got to see the ribbon cutting at HBD! I love those little things that just make Disney so special :goodvibes

It's nice to hear about other TS restaurants at HS. I've only tried Sci-Fi and H&V. I didn't even know MM was there for the longest time!

You were there?! You have to look in my pics to see if you are in any pics! And I need to look in yours for us!

I don't see us in any of your pics... once I get our photopass pics (we did a share, so I don't know when that will be, lol), you'll be able to see DH's crazy hoodie to see if you can find us in pics you have that you didn't post.... or actually, in the photopass pics of us in the first entry of my "Never Again" TR, DH is wearing the same hoodie... it's pretty unique, and definitely stands out in the crowd! :rotfl:

I'll definitely look for you guys in my DHS pics, and if I find any, I'll be sure to post them in my TR! :thumbsup2

LOVE Full House and of course, love the Disney episode! I am so Danny with the itinerary! What did he call it? The Tanner family something of fun? Ooohh, I don't remember! I usually kick butt at Full House trivia! And of course, being a huge disney fan, I think I broke my VCR playing back those episodes over and over.

Sounds like a great day in DHS. I have NEVER seen the cowboy scene in GMR, we always get the gangsters. And I'm dying to do the animation classes. Definitely a must-do on our July trip!

I LOVE FULL HOUSE. I have something to brag about regarding that...our friend/neighbor is Stephanie Tanner's cousin and was on an episode of Full House, a pirate episode! :thumbsup2

That is so cool! Jodie Sweetin actually came to our college to speak 2 years ago. It was so neat to see her in person!

Great update!! Brown Derby looks really nice inside and the food sounds yummy! I take a picture of that Disney Vacation window everytime we walk down there, I love it. And I so know the Full House episode you are talking about! What is the title of your Hidden Secrets book? I want to pick it up so I can learn more and find them on our next trip :goodvibes

It was a great new meal!

The book is called "The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World" by Susan Veness!

Oh the date didn't change in my title?!

The HBD was so nice!

You have to get it!

Haha, it was something like that..I can't remember either!

Glad to know Fiance wasn't the only one who hasn't seen the Western scene!

The drawing classes were fun!

Hi TG!! Isn't it really late there?? You must be tired!

How are classes going?

I was sorry to see you stopped the game over on the other thread. It's too bad there was peeky- peeky going on. Even though I lost my "lead" with the last one, there was NO WAY I was coming up with anything on it!

So, when do we get another update here??? :goodvibes

Day 3 continued: March 15, 2010

I just love the long canopied entrance. It just makes walking up to check-in that more exciting! We checked-in and sat down on one of the couches. The waiting area was starting to fill up and then I realized that no one was being seated! We were so confused and then we saw them hanging up a ribbon in the doorway to the tables. I was so excited when I realized that we were going to witness a ribbon cutting! Soon, a dressed up CM and a family walked in and up to the ribbon. He announced who they were and where they were from and that they were going to be the family opening the restaurant for the day! Another CM handed them a HUGE pair of scissors, and all of us had to count down “3…2…1!” A CM took their picture as they cut the ribbon. Then, the whole room burst into applause. It was such a great surprise, and it was fun to be a part of it. :goodvibes

As the family was taken to their table, CM’s followed them and threw confetti on them. It was cute! Then, CM’s were coming left and right yelling out ADR names and soon ours was called. We were taken down the steps, across the room, then up another set of steps. It was so neat being on the second level looking over the restaurant.

We'll have to remember this for when we do get around to eating there. That would be a fun thing to see and something to add a little more interest to the already wonderful HBD experience. :)

We were the last 2 people let in! As we were walking to our seats, we were betting who we were going to learn to draw. I guessed Tigger and Fiancé guessed Goofy. We were both wrong, but I was the closest because we were drawing Eeyore! For some reason I didn’t take pics of our drawings, but let’s just say Fiancé’s was better than mine! HA. We had so much fun in the session that we walked out of that one and back in line for another one. We kept our bets the same and…..I WAS RIGHT! We drew Tigger! I have to say my Tigger was a little better! I really recommend the drawing sessions to everyone.

What? No pictures of my pal, Eewar???

I don't know how I missed your HBD update! I am so excited to eat here in a few months. I didn't even know about the canopied entrance; that does add quite a sense of flair!!

Your meals sounded amazing!

I really am over the moon excited to do the drawing classes too!! You HAVE to take pictures for us! (maybe you did, but I didn't read between the current page and the post).

Anyway, we got to see both GMR shows on our last trip. Very different and fun! You had such a fun afternoon!!! :thumbsup2

Getting at the Brown Derby at that time must have been really awesome.

I can't believe your df has never seen the Western scene. I like it much better than the gangster one, but I see it less. I don't know why that is.

I've never done the Animation thing--my daughter would love it.

You have me seriously thinking about some TS in DHS. The problem is that the park closes so early and we usually don't get there at RD, it is hard to fit in a 2 hour meal. Some day I'd like to try HBD. :)

Really cool seeing the opening ceremony at HBD! :goodvibes

I can't believe you didn't take any pics of your drawings. :sad2:

How were the crowds? Busy? They don't look all that bad in your pics. :confused3

Waiting for the rest of your day!

It was the Tanner Family Clipboard of Fun!

I too loved that episode when they went to WDW!:goodvibes Wasn't it a two part-er?

I love how this turned into everyone re-living Full House.......I still watch it when it comes on. Uncle Jesse was (and is) yummy! I used to love all of the WDW ABC episodes. I think almost all of the shows did at least one trip!

I love your Brown Derby pics. It reminds me of that I Love Lucy episode where Lucy was so star struck and peeking over the back of the booth while embarrassing Fred. :lmao: So funny!

I also remember well the Full House episode you speak of. :happytv: Do I watch too much television? YES!

I have NEVER been in the Western scene on TGMR. I was beginning to wonder if they even did that or if it was all just a myth!

QUESTION: Is the Alien still coming from the ceiling or is it now on the right side of the wall when it comes out? B/C the last time I was there, I was disappointed to see it coming out of the wall and not the ceiling. I hoped that was just a temporary change b/c it really lost it's appeal for me coming from the wall. But really, that whole ride should be updated with more current movies. My child doesn't know any of what he's seeing when he rides this one. :confused3

LOL!! I know exactly what your talking about with Full House! I always loved it when shows would go to Disney and it would show them in the parks. The FH was one of my favorite ones!!!

 I've never actually gone to the Indiana Jones show, but I definitely know the scene from Full House you're talking about. Such a great show. Whenever I'm in the Seas with Nemo and Friends, I always remember how Jesse and Joey did their radio show in one of the tanks. Now I really want to watch that episode. :rotfl:

Oh, and I'm glad you guys like the Brown Derby. My mom has always wanted to eat there to get the Cobb Salad, so someday we probably will.

What a great update! I love your pics of the HBD. It sounds like you both had a wonderful meal there. I ate there when I was 10 yrs old, but I don't remember anything about it! I can't wait to hear about the rest of your day.

So, when do we get another update here??? :goodvibes

It was 11:15 pm when I got off here. Classes are going well. I can't believe it's already April!

Yeah, we were sad about stopping it too.

We'll have to remember this for when we do get around to eating there. That would be a fun thing to see and something to add a little more interest to the already wonderful HBD experience. :)

What? No pictures of my pal, Eewar???

Definitely do it! It was so much fun.

I know! I'm sorry no pictures! And of course I can't take a pic of it now because it's at home!!

I don't know how I missed your HBD update! I am so excited to eat here in a few months. I didn't even know about the canopied entrance; that does add quite a sense of flair!!

I love the entrance! It really was good.

I know, I will take pictures..when I'm back home!

I'm glad he finally got to see it!

She would! It's fun!

I will take pics of the drawings when I'm home for y'all!

The crowds got worse as the day went on. You'll hear about that in the next update.

It was the Tanner Family Clipboard of Fun!

I love 'I Love Lucy!'

I know, I was so surpirsed we finally got the Western scene!

The alien did come down from the ceiling during our ride, but there was so much smoke/mist coming out too that you could hardly see it!

LOL!! I know exactly what your talking about with Full House! I always loved it when shows would go to Disney and it would show them in the parks. The FH was one of my favorite ones!!!

I just loved how fast they got from one park to another. :rotfl:

I remember them doing the radio show there too! And Vicki and Danny ate at the Coral Reef!

I hope you try the HBD sometime!

What a great update! I love your pics of the HBD. It sounds like you both had a wonderful meal there. I ate there when I was 10 yrs old, but I don't remember anything about it! I can't wait to hear about the rest of your day.

Thanks girl. It was good!

The alien did come down from the ceiling during our ride, but there was so much smoke/mist coming out too that you could hardly see it!

That's good to know it was back in the ceiling. I can't imagine why it came from the wall last year!! (now I'm beginning to wonder if I imagine the whole thing!) :confused3

I love Full House as well, I watch the Disney World episodes before I go to Disney World, most of the time I watch them on the airplane on the way down. I'm really loving your TR!

It comes down from the ceiling first, then comes out from the wall.

Thanks so much! What a great idea to watch them on the plane!
