Day 5 Wednesday September 20, 2006
Animal Kingdom
We had 8:00 am ADRs at Donald Breakfast So we got up to catch the 7 AM bus, of course HollyLynne was not in the mood to get up, so we had a huge fight, she finally showed up around 9 am, didnt have breakfast with us, but what can I do.
Anyway, we are at the bus stop at POR awaiting the bus for Animal Kingdom, I of course an not only angry but depressed that my entire family will not be having breakfast together but I am young I will get over it I guess.
We arrive at Animal Kingdom, and I noticed, there are a lot of love bugs )The love bugs were a pain in the butt, they would fly around and land on you.. if you have never seen love bugs, they are extremely interesting and not at all bashful about their mating habits.) We go to breakfast, it was okay, a typical breakfast. After breakfast, I get a call from HollyLynne telling me that she is on her way to Animal Kingdom, I told her where to meet us, but since it was before the park opened, they wouldnt let her through, so we had to wait for 9am.
We finally all re-grouped, and we were off to EVEREST excellent ride, love the ride, but dummy me forgot the coupon she had won for a free 5x7 okay it was a rough morning. From Everest we were off to the Safari I really enjoyed the Safari, I know one of the girls took some pictures. After that we wondered a bit went on the Rapids Ride, oh I cant even remember how many different things we did, but it was great. I loved all the animals. It was a great day.
We had a counter lunch @ Flame Tree and it was really good, I had the pulled pork sandwich, I enjoyed it. I really liked the frozen lemonade for dessert
We didnt see the parade, I really wanted to see the Lion King show, which of course, I dont have pictures of but I do have video It was EMH at Animal Kingdom that day, but we were ready to go, so on the way out, we picked up both girls birthday buttons.
Guest relations wasnt open when we got there so, we had to wait till we left. Anyway, we took the bus to the Swan again, hoping to be able to play mini-golf. We walked over to the Mini-Golf place and yes it was open. I am not really very good, but I did make a few good putts Miss SMIG, we wont go into it, will we Miss SMIG she doesnt like Mini-Golf.
It was around 8 pm when we finished up with our Mini-Golf, so we headed over to the Swan to catch the bus to Downtown Disney HollyLynne wanted to get back to the POR her key wasnt working and she wanted to pick up all the stuff that we shipped to POR from the previous days. DH wanted ice cream so we went to Ghirardelli. OMG, it was wonderful, it was the best chocolate shake that I ever had in my life. DH wanted a taste and he drank a lot bad DH then we were off to the POR, Magic Kingdom had AM EMH on Thursday, and Miss SMIG and I wanted to get there EARLY there was no talking us out of that one we wanted to see opening ceremonys well at least I wanted to see it And besides, something special happened on the 21st .
