After a very long road trip from Texas (and getting stuck on I-10 for over an hour for a really bad wreck) we made it to Saratoga Springs around midnight. The kids had been asleep for a few hours. We debated skipping Breakfastsaurus that morning but decided to go early and call it an early day and rest that evening....sooooo...

Cast: Me(32), DH(36), my Best Friend (32), DS (nearly 5), and DD (just turned 2). Note: I don't do thrill rides due because of heart and pituitary problems.

Sun (11/13) Animal Kingdom.
Breakfastsaurus at 8am. Poor DS (who is ADHD and has a mild developmental disorder) was petrified of the characters. We had already promised him he didn't have to do anything he didn't want to do and he didn't want them near him! DD was a little apprehensive but loved blowing everyone kisses! We got some cute photos. Food was very good. Not happy that we were in the "gray" room. I know it is part of the theming, but the pictures look very dingy because the walls are gray! Wish we would have been in the nice spacious main dining room.

We were out of there before the park opened and as soon as the rope dropped, DH ran to get safari fast passes. BF took DD on Triceratops. DS was having an ADHD moment and didn't want anything to do with dinosaurs. I got him calmed down and we let them play in the boneyard while we waited for DH. After that we caught ITTBAB. Very cute. DD especially loved it. Then off to Asia... we did the animal trail (name escapes me) and skipped Kali (not interested in getting wet) and stopped for an icecream and did a little shopping. Off to Africa for our safari. It was GREAT. The kids just loved it. We actually had to stop and let 3 rhinos (one was a baby) get out of the way. All the animals were active except the lions. We then decided to grab lunch at pizzafari. On our way we ran into Princess Atta and had to get her autograph! Chicken ceasar was GREAT. Kids pizza was pretty good too. Off to the Lion King show. It was just awesome! None of us had ever seen it and we really enjoyed it. By know we were all exhausted and decided to head back. We cooked spaghetti in the condo and let the kids chill.

Mon (11/14) MGM.

We were there at rope drop!! BF and DH went straight to RnR. Me and the kids headed to get Mermaid FP and get in line for PHD. We enjoyed strolling through the park and enjoying it. I also had time to get my morning Dr Pepper. When they got back we did PHD... which the kids LOVED and then Mermaid. My DS didn't like it. He was a bit frightened so we sat on the floor by the exit and he half-way watched. Next we headed to Pizza Planet to eat (we were starving by then)... it was good too. We headed down the block to Al's and met Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the Green Army Men. Then back to the muppets. We all really enjoyed this one. It's so cute! Next DH and BF rode Star Tours and the kids and I had an ice cream (YUM!).. we also caught part of Mulch, Sweat, and Shears... The sky started to cloud up, so we ran to TGMR and did it. A not-so-brillant CM turned our stroller while we were inside and half of it got very wet (the back seat). UHHHHHHH! Not to worry, it dried out really fast. Once outside we realized it was about 2pm and we had time to catch the next B&B show. We got a good seat and 4 for a Dollar were performing. They were pretty good, I had never seen them before. B&B, as always was great. The kids loved it (they are wild about Belle!)... after that we went and found our spot for the parade. It was neat too! Afterwards we decided to skip stunt shows (DS would be frightened), so we did the animation tour instead. My DS is very artistic so he LOVED it! Met Chicken Little and Abby Mallard at the end. We loved playing with all the computer stuff at the end. It is so nice and spacious in there. I think this is a hidden treasure of MGM! We then walked around a little, shopped, got a few character autographs (Cruella, Stitch, Chip and Dale) and went and ate over by Fantasmic entrance. DH said the burger was subpar, as was BF's hotdogs. DD, DS, and I had chicken strips and fries and they were really pretty good. We finished up all the shops and then went to get seats for Fantasmic! It was a great show. DD loved it. The villans part (I didn't remember it being so long) scared DS a little. He loved the very end though. We then walked down through the Osbourne lights. The kids loved the "snow" (we don't get much of that in East Texas)... and we caught the bus back to the resort.

Tues (11/15) Magic Kingdom

We were all so excited about this day!! I got us into CRT!! We got on the bus early and to MK by 8am (our seating was 8:20am) we loved walking down main street with no one around. Amazing. We took some pictures in front of the castle and walked into the restaurant. They told us to head to the lobby to see Cinderella. DS was not interested so he hung out with DH and watch. DD gave Cindy a huge hug and took a very cute picture in front of the Christmas tree (which I of course bought!)... when we were done with Cindy they told us to come upstairs to be seated. We were seated on the upper level kind of in the corner (it was a half booth, half chair table) which we thought was great because we didn't know how DS would react. The food was fabulous. We really enjoyed the fresh fruit. DD loved the french toast sticks and I just about cleaned my plate too. YUMMY! They are very accomodating and attentive. The service was EXCELLENT!! My husband was very complimentary of the coffee (and that is RARE!). As we were finishing the princesses started to make their way to us. Snow White was first- she was sweet and posed for pictures, but her visit was a little brief. Wendy was next. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this young lady. She is marvelous with kids. She made our whole day! She was so attentive and sweet and when DS didn't get up to see her, she went and sat next to him and he let her have his notebook and crayon (this is rare too!!) and they drew pictures together. He ended up giving her a big hug and taking a really cute picture. I was in tears- my poor boy has been through so much recently! She came back to visit us several times while we were there. Belle made her way to us next. She was very nice. The kids love the movie so they were excited to meet her. She too went and sat with DS and talked with him... he hugged her too! Mary Poppins and the Fairy Godmother came over too. They were great as well. This meal was worth EVERY penny. You can't beat the character interaction!! I kow they are raising the price, but I'm sure we will have to do this every trip now!!

Off to Fantasy Land! We rode Dumbo (actually waited in line twice, the first time right as we were next- Dumbo broke! Try explaining that to a 5 year old!) We did Peter Pan, IASW, Pooh, Carousel, and the teacups all by 10:30am... off to ToonTown. DH and DS rode Barnstormer 5 times in a row (we have created a thrill ride junky!!) while we shopped and visited with Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. Next on the train. Kids loved that! We got off in Frontierland, got FPs for BTM and grabbed Lunch at Pecos Bill's. Chicken wraps were pretty good. DD slept through lunch (but she had grapes earlier) and DS didn't eat- he was too busy watching Splash Mountain! After lunch we took him on it. He didn't like the inside, dark parts but loved the drops! He then rode BTM with Daddy and BF. Loved it too! Somewhere in there we did PoC and Magic Carpets (2 or 3 times) but I don't remember. We also met Jasmine and Aladin in Adventureland. Next we staked out a parade spot in front of the Shootin' Arcade, which we took turns trying! The kids loved the parade... our true magic moment-- Wendy was in the parade and we yelled and waved and she turned and yelled hello and said the kid's names. I'm telling you, this woman is UNBELIEVABLE! She totally made our day! After the parade we caught the Country Bears and headed for the exit!

That night we snacked and rested and went to the Disney Outlet and shopped.

More later....
