"Our Magical Gathering Trip Report" isn't that creative of a title, but, that's kind of what it is. So, on with the show.

Cast of Characters:
The Main People
Me, Gina, 30. I'm a SAHM. I love WDW. That's pretty much it.

DH, Billy, 30. DH also loves WDW but not in the crazy, obsessed, fanatical way that I do. He's a computer genius and does something with computers for his job. I don't exactly understand what he does but I do know that he likes his job, works very hard, and deserved a vacation. We got married at WDW January 1, 2005. Very romantic. Here's a picture:

Not the best picture of us, but I love this picture. We got married at the Wilderness Lodge and it was so nice. Anyway...ever hear the saying "First comes love, then comes marriage, then all hell breaks loose"? Meet my son, Will.

DS, Will, 2.

He came out screaming and has been screaming ever since. He is into everything, breaks everything, falls off of everything, and runs into everything. Very "busy". Also very sweet and empathetic. Looking at him is like looking in a mirror so I can't really resist his naughty boy charms.

DD, Gemma, 7 months.

Gemma is our sweet, sweet girl. She is an absolutely wonderful baby, an answer to many prayers and proof that there is a God and he loves us very much. Can you tell that we like her? She was a bit cranky at WDW, so maybe she isn't the perfect baby I though she was. Hmmmm.

The Rest of the Group
Mimi, DMIL, 50 something. Loves the kids, but lives three hours away from us so really is baby deprived.

Papa, DFIL, 60 Something. Had the best attitude of the whole group, and should have the worst...he's always in a lot of pain due to terrible arthritis and knee problems. Also has a neurological problem now and uses an ECV at WDW.

Granny, my mom, 50 something. Vacation commando, will not stop to eat, drink or sleep. Skinny, does not require food to live. Stayed with my sister and her kids.

Amanda, DS, 33. My darling sister, who left her husband behind to go to WDW with my mom and her two kids, Sam and Sophie.

Sam, DN, 6. My nephew, and the apple of my eye before I had my own kids. Forgot how to smile during this trip.

Sophie, DN, 3. My darling niece...how to describe? Diva? Drama queen? Sweet angel? Too smart for her own good?

Here's a pic of everyone on our first day:

My DMIL is taking this picture, so she's not in it, but you will get to know her soon.

We all stayed at POFQ from June 1st-7. We love POFQ and this trip was all that we wanted it to be. Full of magic, fun, memories and drama. I wanted to kill my whole family, and I wanted to go on vacation with them again. I hope that you enjoy this trip report. I'm writing it mostly for myself, so I can share it with my babies someday. I want them to look back on their childhoods and remember all of the wonderful times we had at WDW. I will try to update it as frequently as I can, but I do have two small children and life gets in the way alot. I think I"m going to try to get up early to write because otherwise I'll still be writing this when we go back in 18 months! I'm already completed my dining review Click Here, so it looks promising that I may finish this one! Wish me luck!

Wooohooo you've started, I can't wait to read about your adventures with your gorgeous kids :goodvibes

Wonderful start! I am on board!

One question...where's baby Gemma in the group photo? :)

Cant wait to hear how your travels went. I went last October with my family (9 total) - It will be interesting to see the simularities & differences.

Gemma is stuffed in the back of our double stroller. She was there a lot during our trip. It seemed like she was OK as long as she was in the stroller, but if we took her out and tried to put her back in she would SCREAM at the top of her lungs and throw a fit. I blame myself. She is used to being held all day so WDW was a rude awaking for her. You know what they say, babies don't keep, so I hold mine for as long as I can.

Another Wilderness Lodge Bride! Yay!

DFIL didn't complain a bit during this trip, which was amazing considering how hard the trip was on him. He could barely transfer onto any rides, so he just sat and waited for us. I would have had a very hard time with that. He really just wanted to spend time with the family. Fortunately he did get to ride Toy Story Mania, but more on that later!

We did a magical gathering last month with my husband's family so I understand the drama!!!! Looking forward to reading more!!!

I had been planning this trip for a very long time. We were going to go to WDW 9/2007 but that trip got canceled because I was pregnant with Gemma. We went to WDW when I was pregnant with Will, and I didn't really want to go repeat that experience with a toddler. We moved the trip to June 2008 so my sister and her family could come. (She's a teacher). Then my mom signed on and we invited Billy's mom. Then his dad decided he wanted to come, and suddenly we had a Magical Gathering on our hands!

I am a huge planner, and a TGM subscriber, so I had our trip planned down to the last minute. Then, I realized I was going to Disney World with two kids in diapers and one still nursing about 6 times a day. Throw in a papa on an ECV and there was no way we were going to stick to a schedule, unless I was miserable the whole time. So, I just stuck to TGM's best days and let the chips fall where they may. We made pretty good efforts to get to rope drop everyday (old habits die hard), but I tried not to stress about it. You can't sleep in with two babies anyway!

So, June 1st couldn't get here fast enough, and then suddenly it was here! I jumped out of bed without any help from an alarm, got myself ready, and finished packing the last odds and ends. I fed Gemma and got her dressed, and Billy attempted to wake Will up so we could leave for the airport.
How we found him:

Starting to wake up with one of his sister's pink binkies:

Will eventually got up and got dressed. I was too excited and nervous to eat. This was our first time flying with babies, and I was a little stressed. We drove to the airport, parked, checked in and made it through security with a minimum of drama. Our airport is very small and security is easy. I started to relax a little when we got to the gate.

Will looks so little in this picture! Gemma fell asleep as soon as we sat down. Will was tired but excited. Since I don't work, these kids always wake up whenever they want to and always sleep in. They aren't used to being woken up! After a bit of a wait we got on the plane. We hooked up Will's car seat and we were ready to go!

Please excuse my giant head in this picture!

The flight went very well, no tears or drama. I only had to nurse Gemma once, and she slept most of the way. Will loved the plane. It was a little more exciting because so many people on the plane were also going to WDW or going on vacation. It was a bit of a festive atmosphere. After about two hours, we were there! Florida! The heat smacked us across the face as we left the plane. Billy and I were so happy that we had made it, on a plane and with two babies. We were giddy!

Up next: A Wal-mart trip and actually getting to POFQ!
