If there are so many Libras here, no wonder we're RCers!! October 8 here. Last year was the closest we got to celebrating my birthday at Disney and that was a month early! And when I lived there, I didn't get my AP until Spring...

There was a special villain thing at HS tonight for Friday the 13th. The traffic was so bad getting into the park that people were sitting or standing on busses for 2 hours!!! No way! Not me! My little boat ride to DTD was very nice and relaxing!

Ugh I saw a lot of people say they were going to DHS for the villain thing I bet combined with the heat quite a few regretted their discison

Spiritism - I saw the pics and videos, it was definitely a madhouse there!!

Shelia - any more luck getting the UT tickets linked? I know I have read some people were able to. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! If it wasnt a 3 hour drive each way I would be on my way to the park to get my ticket issue straightened out Then again if I lived closer we would probably be going today anyway, LOL!

MAGIC - would you believe we were originally going the weekend of the 11th You share a bday with my hubby!!! We couldn't get the 4br condo we usually get with our cousins that weekend and the crowd levels were up a bit for the holiday, which we don't actually get off here, so we pushed our trip up to Oct 4-6. Both trips are with the family, but both have "exceptions" lol!

The Sept 27-29, hubby has a conference on Friday and Saturday so I will be hitting the parks with the kids alone until we pick him up Saturday afternoon, then we will be the 4 of us Sat night and Sunday. We are spending Fri night at the Crowne Royal up in downtown, then Sat morning the kids and I will check into Pop for Sat night before heading to the parks. That is how we got the MagicBands.

For the Oct 4-6 tirp, we are going up again with our cousins staying off property again in the condo. For this trip the wives are heading to F&W for at least Friday and Saturday while the hubbies take the kiddos and do the parks.

Jen - about raiding DD's purse!! I have so done that before!!! The tooth fairy has been outed in my house....too smart for their own good Oh and as for normal, um yeah, not me I know I want to give you a big hug too I seem to making all sorts of RC meets in my head and well pricing them out, I just haven't told DH yet. November is a beautiful time to visit

Linda - glad you enjoyed your quiet evening away from the DHS mayhem! I know I am so over the heat! I am waiting for the temps to cool down a bit so I can actually turn off my car and put the windows down while I wait in car line every day. I am hoping for a slight drop before we are back up there in two weeks. One can dream cant they How many more days are you in the world for?

DD7 lost a tooth today, and bad mommy that I am have just raided her change purse to put some coins under her pillow! Ssshhh don't tell on me! Poor kid.

Hahaha! Actually, last night I "knocked out" one of DD6's teeth! It had been hanging on by a thread for 2 weeks and last night we were rolling around on the floor and I was tickling her and she swung her face right in to my knuckle. I heard a crack and her mouth started to fill with blood! Oops!!! Her tooth was on my shorts...but, it was good because that thing had been hanging on for dear life for some reason, so we had $$ set aside in preparation for that one. . I hate when we get caught off guard. DH has had to make some unconventional ATM runs for those...


SO...... I pretty much just woke up, and woke up from one of those Disney "nightmares", c'mon you know them...admit it. Well, this one involved us getting separated at check in. DH and the girls were somewhere and I was somewhere else. The check in line was ginormous! Think ramps of people... and when I went to grab my cell to see where they were, I realized I didn't have it, and that we hadn't packed any of our electronics or a bunch of other stuff!!!

Ok, but the thing is, in my dream we were staying at CR.....and I was sooooo happy, and I sort of am now....

Does anyone know why the 35% off room rates for both the FL Res and Passholder Discounted Fall Rates are showing a SSR Studio at $416.15 per night for Oct 11 and 12 today, when less than 2 weeks ago I booked the same SSR Studio room for $259.00 per night? If that room type is sold out at the discount rate it usually says Room Unavailable, right? I'm confused. DH and I were talking last night and, being gluttons for punishment, are considering inviting my parents and getting a 1-BR instead. Not at those rates, a 1-BR is $570.38! And one big room is too close for comfort even with a pull-out.

Is it at all possible you didn't have the Oct date plugged in and it was still pulling the summer rates?? That is the only thing I can think of.

I noticed when checking on the Fall discounts sometimes it came up room unavailable and sometimes it defaulted to the non-discounted rooms that were available

There is totally about a hundred dollar difference in the SSR studio price between the different seasons.

So Sheila, it looks like the $416.25 is rack-rate-ish then and the discount rooms are all gone.

Melissa, I banged my head against the wall and tried several different ways to plug in the dates with both FL Res and Passholder and no dice, $416.25 each time. BTW, your DH has a awesome birthdate!

Not having kids I sometimes forget about school holiday impact on WDW crowds... although MY first visits were my birthday week in October 1977 and then again for Jersey week (it wasn't named waaaaay back then) in November 1978.

I used to consistently make 90% of my reservations online. But now I always end up having to call. When I made ressies a couple weeks ago the room type I wanted showed available for my dates as an entire week range online but not for only the 2 nights I wanted inside those dates. When I called the CM was easily able to get me the dates I requested. She said, "That's weird." Agreed. I guess they prefer those week-long bookings. Tricky.

Just had to share this our nights entertainment. DH and I are glued to the patio doors watching a SKUNK that has been living under the new shed!

Each day DH fills in skunks new holes to get under the shed, laid traps with nails in wood that skunk has pushed out of the way , made intricate labrynth like ribbon structures to confuse skunk that have had no result , and mixed cayenne pepper with soil to make skunks mouth burn. All this has had no effect.

The skunk has emerged and now DH is poised to confront it. My hero.

Oh wait hero is running back inside like a scared school girl! I pretended skunk was heading around side of shed to meet him. Funny.

Sadly this is as much fun as DH and I have had in a long time!

Koh - sorry you and DD still arent feeling well, and that you have so much going on Hopefully you can get some rest tonight and then tomorrow night will be great! I know how you feel, I texted DH today and asked if we could go out tomorrow night, he called and asked if something was wrong and I said no, I just need to feel like an adult for a bit

Shelia - I'm only 39 and I still need a resort break and/or nap sometimes We have stayed at all the All Stars and I agree, I hate them. Pop is a little newer and we havent stayed there, so I am willing to give it a try for one night, I think I didnt even look at AOA, as the LM rooms are never included in the discounts and a suite is too pricey for this trip.

Jeanette - such a pain when mommy stuff gets in the way of the Dis

Magic - I really want to use the FP+ for parade viewing and wishes, my AP's are screwing up my FP+ selection window, so I have to wait until we are there to make my selections, so not sure what I will be able to get. I am there Sept 27-29, meeting Ginny and Canadace that weekend And then back Oct 4-6 for F&W and meeting Lacey What weekend in Oct are you going?

Miss - glad you are feeling a bit better! I thought of you while I was in Target today We don't have Disney Infinity yet, it is on Steven's Hanukkah list, but I did read about the MB's with it. Sarah got pink, its cute. I have a pic over on my PTR.

Linda - enjoy OKW! I'll be interested to hear what you can still do with the MBs

SueM - yes definitely let me know when you are back down this way!!! Yep, love all the choices right there on University!!! Glad to hear you didn't mind Pop. It will only be for one night and I cant see spending $90 more to put as at POR just for queen size beds, although I keep debating it or even off prop just to have more room. Although I keep checking CR, knowing full well even if something opens up DH will never agree to pay $400-$500 for one night

Jen - you totally deserve BWI CL, do it now, you never know what tomorrow will bring! And like everyone said there is just something so magical about the Epcot resort area!

Got to go get the kiddos ready for karate. I'm sure I will be back latter this evening

I can relate! Following Pop we had 2 nights at GF, and I kept thinking it would be nice to just have 3 days at GF. But in the end, big girl panties firmly in place, lol. And saved the $$$ knowing our arrival day we weren't spending much time at the room anyway, so may as well stay at Pop.
I didn't have to share a bed, but was happy at how comfy the Pop beds were.

We were so tired, we did end up having dinner there in the food court. After all I read, I was surprised at how quiet it was. Daughter liked her pasta ( although not as good as POR), I can't remember what I had, haha, but I remember thinking it was good. Prob if it was awful, I'd remember!
