Just an FYI, it is now being reported that guest staying at the Poly will NOT have use of the GF pool. They will have their one day at Blizzard Beach and then be able use the East Pool for the remainder of their stay. (For those of you still holding onto your Poly ressies, this might make a difference)

I saw that...will make for a very busy "quiet" pool!

We are at WL figuring we get the luxury of being near MK and can boat over to Contemporary for monorail if we need. I drive DH crazy because in the middle of running something by him I'll start changing the parameters of what I was already changing. I love when the TA is so positive and we throw them... poor dears I love your logic!!! Still get to enjoy Poly but try to minimize impact of construction. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* Driving myself crazy trying to figure out Christmas dinner! A buffet would be the easiest to appease everyone but I can't help but feel the holiday calls for something a little 'nicer'. Even if we did go buffet I can't figure out which one is the best - Cape May has good choices (family loves fresh seafood) but the atmosphere seems less holiday than I was hoping for. Thinking maybe an early dinner and then head over to Poly Beach to watch fireworks and sip some drinks? I would love to do Ohana but I can't find anything about them offering 'traditional' fare on the holidays. The funny thing, though, is I'm turning MIL into a Disney nut. She printed out all the DDP restaurants and is making the fam out there start figuring out which restaurants. Makes my job easier! Hope everyone has a Happy Friday! We got tons of rain last night so the pollen count is low! LO is EVERYWHERE today - we can't go outside - and keeps finding all the crayons that DD6 seems to lose that we can't see (under the couch, behind a book... it's like a 6th sense!) Keepin' Momma on her toes! to all!

You sound exactly like me!!! In the last 12 hours I have gone from poly wl gf POR and back to poly! I just can't make up my mind!! It's really bad! My TA is going to kill me I'm sure of it!!!

Good news for both GF people, who already have extra volume at the pools due to VGF AND Poly who get to go to BB!!! Plus with two longhouses already closed, Poly's quiet pool will be more manageable..plus I KNOW occupancy will be WAY down there!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi! We've had a busy weekend, but I've still managed to change and/or book other ADR's. I feel like we're in a funny time in between Dining and FP+. I'm now figuring out what I want to do each day. It makes it feel real!

Hello all! Hope everyone had a good weekend!!!

DD6 had a Taekwondo tournament this weekend and won 3 first place trophies for her division - sparring, forms, board breaking. She came within points of winning a Grand Champion trophy for board breaking (5 points off!) that would've had her beat out the other girls up to 3 years older than her. Still, second isn't bad!

On the Dis front, I'm not happy with my ADRs for Sept. I really don't want the F! package but am nervous to give it up unless HS adds a second show that night. My fear is that with MNSSHP that night and F&W opening that day, non-party/non-drinkers will migrate to HS to escape and F! will be crowded. What to do, what to do???

DH is starting to pipe up about Christmas. MIL messaged me to say they wanted to do Marrakesh and Biergarten as a group in Dec... but that stinks for my crew because we were going to do Akerhaus for DDs (since they are sort of at the whim on the group the rest of the trip we wanted to guarantee some princess time). I cannot justify 3 EPCOT ADRs so DH is going to tell mom we're skipping one of the 'group' ones so the girls can see princesses... if they want to give up one of the others, they can join us, but we're not doing 3 EPCOT meals in 4 park days.

Right now I'm thinking Tusker House character and Akerhaus for the character meals for DDs.... then one meal DH and I want to do (with girls but not FOR them), one meal DH, DD6, and I all like, and then the last 3 are committed big family meals. One nice thing is family wants to do T-Rex so that works on one of our non-park day, and I'm HOPING to get a BOG FP for lunch one day but if we knock it out in Sept I won't be as stressed.

Happy Thursday morning!! I'm up getting the boys ready for their last full day of school before we leave. I still have a lot to do tonight and then some shopping for last minute items tomorrow. Last night, when the DH, mil, and I were trying to figure out what they wanted me to make for dinner, I told the DH I would rather not cook and just grab something. He said, "well, I figured you wouldn't want to cook tomorrow night, so we already planned on eating out. You can either cook tonight or tomorrow night, you pick." We'll just have to wait to see what the fil feels like eating tonight since he's been having stomach issues.

Hmmmm ..... WL is $100 cheaper a night but I kinda want the monorail. I am so confused!! Theres always grand Floridian!! Oh God am I changing resorts in the middle of changing resorts!?!?! My TA just priced all 3 out and Im kinda excited for all 3!!

I kinda agree with Koh, maybe WL. If you haven't stayed at Poly before, you may not enjoy it with all the construction. Having said that Im still booked at Poly for August, I've stayed before, but I've been keeping up with the updates, so I know what to expect. I requested either Fiji or Aotearoa. Our first 2 days are CL in Hawaii longhouse.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! For us Canadians it's a long weekend! Tomorrow is Victoria Day . Yoohoo!

I've tweaked my trip, took off a day from our Deerfield Beach, and booked the night before Universal Portofino at the Fairfield Inn near Universal.
It will be much easier to get early check in, and into park for early admission the next morning. And return rental car, if I keep Budget, there's a desk just a few blocks up in the Holiday Inn.

Plus I like having breakfast provided at the hotel, we can just grab a bite and go.

But if Alamo turns out cheaper, I may switch the first night to Sheraton Four Points where Alamo return is

I hope hertz comes down in price, as I can return it at Portofino. But it's currently $200 more then Budget.

I jumped ship and moved back to YC. I'm not sure why I even moved from YC to Poly in the first place. I think I got caught up in the mass move from YC to the MK area. I actually think that the Poly will be fine ... Maybe some of the work in the GCH will even be done by then. And I agree with you the resort might be pretty empty!

This is what I am thinking so far:

Arrival day: Flight lands at 12:45pm so we'll take ME to Pop Century and check in. I'm hoping DD will have a nice afternoon nap and we'll head to DTD for dinner. Either WPE or Earl of Sandwich. Maybe an evening in the pool.

Day 2: Up early and check out of Pop Hand bags over Luggage Services and head to the Contemporary for a 9:10am breakfast ADR at the Wave. I really was impressed by their buffet! Then we'll spend the morning in Future World, and grab lunch in Sunshine Seasons. (if hungry) Head to POFQ and check in. Garden Grocer is scheduled to be delivered between 1-3pm. Hoping DD takes a nice nap and we may spend some time in the pool. We have a 630pm ADR at Raglan Road.

Day 3: Up early to hit MK Rope Drop! Eat breakfast in the room. Have lunch at Columbia Harbour House. Not sure if we'll do a mid day break. We'll plan to see the 3pm parade. A 5:20pm ADR at the Plaza is scheduled. Hoping to see MSEP and Wishes this night!

Day 4: Up early once again for Animal Kingdom RD! Once again, breakfast in the room and plan to be at the bus stop by 8am. Eat lunch at Flame Tree and be back on the bus by 2pm. DD goes down for a nap and some pool time hopefully! We have a dinner ADR at 6:35pm at Rose and Crown.

Day 5: Breakfast ADR at Kona for 9:20am. We'll then head to H.S so DH and I can do Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster. I'd also like to see Beauty and the Beast. We will need to leave by 2pm so I can get DD down for a nap and we can start getting ready for our "date night"! We'll spend time in W.S and then head to California Grill for Dinner at 8:00pm.

Day 6: Up early and head to MK for Rope Drop! Hit the rides that weren't done and maybe some repeats until our LTT lunch ADR at 11:50. Depending on whether we catch the parade a few days prior will determine if we stay in the park or head back for a rest. We will return to MK for our 6:15pm ADR for BOG! Hoping to catch Wishes and MSEP for the last time.

Day 7: Last day. The plan is to possibly sleep in and head back to Epcot for any attractions we missed in FW. We'll head back to the room to let DD sleep and do some packing. The plan is to return late afternoon to W.S for some shopping. We have an ADR at Via Napoli for 7:00pm. We'll stay for Illuminations.

Day 8: Check out. ME will pick us up around 11:55am. We will eat breakfast at the resort and finish packing.

This is pretty much it in a nutshell. It feels pretty good to write this out. Hopefully once it's time to book FP+ this will make it easier.

Don't fret! They're screwing with my Sept calendar so they may add things to your time and switch stuff around!!!
Also, glad I'm not the only one with F!... I was emailing TA today about December and almost just had her cancel the MM F! but figure it can't HURT to hold on to it. Also trying to figure out where Tusker will fit in Dec!!!!

I love reading your plans and think they sound good overall. My only real concern is your Day 3, leading to Day 4. Day 3 is REALLY long for your LO (esp if you plan on napping on the go and staying for Wishes/MSEP) and then you have an early morning Day 4. When we took DD at 18 months, the stimulation circus that is Disney wiped her out pretty hard and we were done earlier than I expected and she slept HARD the next morning. We planned similarly for this next trip: we have PM EMH and then an empty morning until MNSSHP, followed by a resort day. You know your cutie better than anyone, but just wanted to offer my experience!!! Still, I love your plans and your ADRs!
