We couldn't make FD work in December, so we didn't think December would work. Plus, my friend has to be home on 12/8 for her wedding anniversary and 12/13 for some military ball. Then my DH would only agree to the first or second week in December. Besides the military discount that we are counting on being released by the end of August is a lot better deal than FD. Now the only problem with our dates, is that I have to fly into ATL on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

If discount is like last 2 years, it is much better than FD (b/c room and tix are discounted)... that`s our Sept trip in a nutshell! *fingers crossed* it is released soon... last year was early July (I only know b/c I jumped on it to make our upcoming rezzie!)

The first CM I talked to took forever to find a room at the WL. At first the problem was see was she was trying to get the room for early December with the current military discount. We plan on going to MVMCP on Thursday 12/4, and the CP on 12/2. I just can't wait to see who is going to be the narrator for CP on that night.

Trying to come up with a unique way of telling the kids (right before we leave basically). Read a blog on this whole Peter Pan themed reveal that was just so darn cute, but they are not big on Peter Pan.

Was thinking of maybe something Kingdom Keepers like...will have to look online and get some ideas maybe...

There are so many ideas out there. YouTube would be a good place to start. DD is still too young obviously to know that we're going to Disney. I haven't been brainwashing her too much.

She does love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (probably because it's colorful and there is music).. so its a start!

Just saw Pas' post on the GF thread, and thought I should stop by to say hello! Hello RCers! Hello Pas!

I've resorted to my resort-changing ways, and I'll try to summarize briefly: January 2015. Marathon weekend. Started with 5 nights, all Poly. Due to construction, decided on 5 nights BWI. Youngest's bday is during the trip, and he requests GF. Decided on a GF/BWI split. Extended trip to 7 nights and added WL, for a WL/GF/BWI split. Concerned about WL pool construction, even if minor. So 3 nights GF, 4 nights BWI. Considered extending to 8 nights. Maybe 1 night AOA, 3 nights GF, 4 nights BWI. OR maybe 2 nights AKL, 2 nights GF and 4 nights BWI. That's where we are now, and we haven't even booked yet.

Do I qualify to return to the RC thread for a while? Thoughts regarding an AKL CL / GF RPC / BWI CL split? (We've stayed at AKL before, but not CL at AKL. We've stayed BWI CL three times already, and this would be our first GF stay.)

If we are getting 2 sets of bands for our split stay, do we take all 8 with us? Or would we really only need one per person?

We have three bands each - one for our APs, one from our February BWI stay and one from our March/April Poly stay. We bring them all and use them interchangeably. Very fun!

We plan on attending MVMCP on our last night. We are going to get matching red t-shirts like pictured below...


Then I am making us matching scarves in green with the thread below....


If that wasn't adorable enough, we are making matching tu-tus with the following tulle, and the red is sparkly...


Then we're going to top it off, with the red Santa Mickey ear hats.

We would move the morning after MNSSHP on our 'resort day' (the only thing we have that day is a 1130a at Sanaa).

How many nights at each? If you're park heavy the first part (so lack of the feature pool would be ok) then I say go for the split.

We tend to gravitate toward the quiet pools over the main pools, so that's one reason I picked POR for the first part of our stay. Plenty of quiet pools to swim and play in without as many people. DS doesn't do the slides much at all and DD is too small for them yet.

Well it looks like my friend and I are RC'ing...again. I'm going to call tomorrow and change our ressie back to the BWI. She posted some pictures for me to look at from the room her and her hubby stayed at the last time they stayed at the BWI. The room looked massive, I just loved the decor, and I have never stayed there. Plus, I'm thinking with us spending two full days at Epcot, an Epcot resort makes more sense.

If I don't get back to the boards before Monday, have a great Father's Day weekend. This is my fil's first Father's Day without his dad. I suggest to my mil that we get out of town for the weekend. We won't go far, but we're just going to get out of the house and have some fun.

dimndgal, I like the split. I'm not sure what's going on with the WL pool, though. Do you think the work would be done, or am I totally confused?

Koh, I know Disney must have firm plans for all these changes, but it sure is hard to get a good idea of date ranges. They don't make it easy, do they?

Wookie, BWI is a really fun resort. The location can't be beat. It's such an easy walk to Epcot.

I've been a bit scarce for awhile. Lots going on, but I'm hoping things are settling down. I miss my DIS time. We are planning a trip out west next month. It's not often we get to see both our kids at the same time, so that will be special.

It's time for me to get busy with the laundry, so I'll sign off here. (Not crazy about the chore, but I like the smiley... )
