Our last night in WDW....bittersweet.

After 4-1/2 Full Days at WDW and "pushing it" to see and do all that we can we come to the last night of our trip.

Strangely I am not sad about it:confused3

I think my wife and I are both physically and mentally exhausted, and even our 6 year old twin boys seem ready to return to our"normal life".

Don't get me wrong, we have had a FANTASTIC TRIP and one that I will remember all my life....but part of me is glad that it has come to an end.

We did a lot of pre-planning and did maybe more than I thought we would/could do in the time alloted. However, if we made one mistake (and probably a common "first timers" mistake) is that we didn't schedule and commit to enough "down time" at our resort.

It's been fun, it's been great (most of the time), but tomorrow we leave the fantasy behind.

Trip report to follow-

I hear you, Guy! We are usually exhausted after our trips, and even though I still get sad when it's time to leave, I'm usually pretty much "done" by the time we get home. I keep saying we are going to get more down time in on our NEXT trip, but there's always just so much we want to see and do!!! ;)

I think most people have been there. We always laugh and say that we need to come home to rest from our vacation;)
Tha last couple of years I have tried to fit in a couple of days that we just hang around the resort and swim. That way we are not feeling so rushed all the time while we are there. Glad that you had a great time!

We just got back yesterday and I am always ready to come home to our pets, our "stuff" and our routine. It has nothing to do with how much we love Disney, but it can't last forever. Disney vacations are exhausting even if you don't go commando every day. There is still a lot of walking and being on your feet.

Make plans for another trip and know that you can go back down and enjoy yourselves again...

When we went in 2008, I remember saying "I could stay 1 more night and would be totally ready to go home". Disney is a vacation that you need a vacation from as fabulous as it is. We leave for WDW on Friday and I imagine that we will be so grateful for our time there but ready to go when the time comes. :)

Disney Vacation does not = restful vacation for our family. We are always about to die from exhaustion by the time we get back and need a vacation from our vacation. :lmao:
Gluttons for punishment, we are always planning our next trip on the way home from the current trip:cool1:

Glad you had a great trip, though:)

I'm almost never sad to leave Disney behind. By the end of trip, I'm sick of going and doing and being around crowds. And spending ridiculous money! You are not alone.

P/S I've been 25 times, so even though I'm not sad to leave, I'm always eager to go back!
