~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Ahhh I'm so far behind!!

Let's see... I really wish they'd bring back 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I remember riding it on my first trip and thinking it was just the coolest thing in the world. I would love to ride it again just for memory's sake! I really wish they'd replaced it with something more exciting than a playground.:sad2:

Me too! I never got to ride Mr. Toad's. :sad1:

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I really miss the original Journey Into Imagination! It was soooo awesome. I guarantee a lot more people would like that ride if it was still the original.

I also miss Mr. Toad, but I do like Pooh.

1 month from today...

Today is a nice relaxing day. We'll take our time and do whatever. It's days like this that are the most fun for us. We hate feeling like we have to get everything in and must see it all. We'll watch the 3 p.m. parade if we haven't done so already.

Okay, I have to admit..we've been to the Luau so many times that I know all the words to the songs. "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" is one of the beginning ones, and it's in "Lilo & Stitch", and I had it as my ringtone for forever.

I love all the meat they bring, the salad, and the rice. But, we especially love the coconut bread! We go through so much of it there! Then, it will be time for the VOLCAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :woohoo:

After the show's over and we're stuffed, we'll head out to the beach to watch Wishes!

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from jewels1916!

What former/closed WDW attraction do you miss the most?

Doing whatever you feel like on a relaxing Disney day is perfect!

We haven't done the luau, but when the girls are older, we will.
They will love the dancers!
The boys will love the food!!
Jill and I will love watching them love all that stuff!!!

I will agree with Jill on the Stars and Cars parade, and I'll add my Mr. Toad vote, too.

Haha, glad you're back here!

I never did 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea!

Me too! I never got to ride Mr. Toad's. :sad1:

It was a fun ride, but nothing exciting to me.

definitely the Stars and Motor Cars parade

What is the parade at DHS now?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I really miss the original Journey Into Imagination! It was soooo awesome. I guarantee a lot more people would like that ride if it was still the original.

I also miss Mr. Toad, but I do like Pooh.

I never did ride the original!

Hmmm I definitely miss the skyway the most! But also 20,000 Leagues and Delta Dream Flight (although Buzz is much better).

Did neither one of those!

It is perfect, huh?! :goodvibes

Oooooh the guy dancers at the Luau are HOT! :thumbsup2 So yes the girls will love that! And the food is YUMMY!

hey, girlie! just getting caught up on all my threads! yay for this time next month!!!!! :cool1:

What former/closed WDW attraction do you miss the most?

i think mine is 20,000 leagues under the sea. i loved that ride....when it was working at least! which is probably why they did away with it!

Hey glad you're back from your trip!

I never did 20,000 leagues under the sea! By the looks of what I saw it was, I think I wouldn't have liked it since I'm claustrophobic!

I did it a loooong time ago.
Being claustrophobic, too, as you know, it was like death to me!

Never again would I do anything like that! I can just see a picture of the ride and I start gasping for breath! :crazy2:
What was fun to so many was pure torture to me.

On the other hand, I have no fear of heights. Something that might panic someone who does have that fear is at the same time fun to someone like me. Like I can't imagine anyone being woozy on Soarin' or even being afraid to climb a ladder. I can totally understand the feeling itself, though, because I'm the same way with being closed in.

Give me Astro Orbiter any day over the submarines!

They're death, I tell ya! :rotfl:

I'll have to make a deal with Dawn: I won't mention birds if she won't mention submarines!!!

Yeah, glad I never rode it!

:lmao: Good deal.

It is the Block Party Bash. It is fun and Brooklynn really enjoyed it last summer during her MichaelSulley phase, but I just loved the Stars and Motor Cars parade.

Oh that's right! I loved those pics of Brookie from that parade!

The ride/attraction I miss the most is Mr. Toad and the original Monster Sound Stage at DHS. I liked how they had guests try to recreate the sound affects for the Chevy Chase movie! It was always so funny. I don't like Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey.

1 month from today...

1 month from today will be June 28th. After an awesome night at the Luau, we'll still be doing the hula and singing songs as we wake up this morning! Again, you know the routine-wake up to Dad making coffee and getting ready while Mom makes breakfast. Then watch Stacy while we eat. Then go on patio. Yada, yada, yada.

When we're all ready, we'll head out to the bus stop to go to Epcot; which we like to call "Cotty-Cot". Don't ask why, just said it once and now it stuck! Also about "Cotty-Cot"...from my last TR, some of you may remember that we decided it officially hates us. Let's hope this trip is different!

When we get there, Mom, Sis, and I will make our way through the line to get our bags checked while Dad and B/F wait for us. Seriously, they barely check them. They do a couple pats and flash a light in them and they're good to go.

We'll definately head over to TT and get fast passes for later. But, it will only be for Mom, Sis, B/F, and I because Dad gets motion sickness on it. :guilty:

I think today we'll spend time over in World Showcase. We always say that we're going to and then we end up skipping it because it's so dang hot out. But this trip, we're going to stick it out and do it!

I think I'd like to stop in France for chocolate mousse for sure! Any other good suggestions of snacks/drinks from around the World?

We'll eventually make our way to the Land to eat lunch at Sunshine Seasons. YUM!

After that, we'll probably head over to Nemo and the Living Seas area.

Then, who knows what we'll do. Depending on the time, we might head back to OKW for a swim/change before our ADR.

If we're leaving from Epcot, we'll head straight to the GF bus stop. But, if we're leaving from OKW, we'll wait for a MK bus so we can ride the monorail.

We usually make a point to get to our ADR's early, especially if they're in a Resort so we can explore! I just LOVE the GF. You may think I'm weird, but I think there's a special smell about it too. I love walking in from the monorail and ask the doors slide open, you get that smell and hear the band playing across the lobby. I always feel so elegant.

And...for those of you who know me, you know I can't go to the GF and NOT talk about "Full House". :rotfl: "There's where Uncle Jesse played the piano to Aunt Becky who was up there." or "There's where Steve fell when he was running to D.J."

Finally, we'll make our way over to check-in to our ADR at 1900 PF for 6:25 p.m. This was our favorite meal last trip. The step-sisters were a riot! Plus, the food was good!

This trip, I will definately think of that's nice and his hilarious video of the Mad Hatter and Winnie the Pooh, then his DD!

After eating, we'll head back up to the monorail to head to the MK for evening EMH's. Yep, the MK AGAIN. :)

Who knows what all we'll do there. So, you'll just have to stay tuned to the TR to find out! :thumbsup2

Then, we'll head back to the room to call it a night. Another crazy/busy day for us!

Question of the Day...

What ride are you absolutely scared of or won't ever go on?

MY mom and I would have to say TT! :scared1::scared1: Sorry But we don't think we could do it!

HMM not sure I'm afraid of a ride down there. BUT, I will not go on Star Tours. That ride is just awful. First time we went on that, we all felt so sick lol. I never get that feeling from any ride.

Figment is kind of scary lol. JK. haha.

I won't go on Astro-Orbiter. Is that weird? I have a thing about heights, but I will do everything else! Even ToT! Something about going in circles, that high up, just freaks me out. I also won't ever do Stitch's Great Escape, only cause I hear bad things about it.
