Yes, you read the title correct. This little trip to disney was a complete and total surprise, curtesy of my new husband. I had absolutely no idea that I would get to go to WDW for part of my Honeymoon last week, and he put a lot of thought and planning into it, and it was made even better by a small bit of pixie dust.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. I should probably introduce you to the cast.

First, there's me, Nicole.

I just turned 25 in June. I've been to wdw many times as a child and now four times with my wonderful husband, who has treated me like a princess each and every trip. I love all things Princess, especially Jasmine (even going as far as naming our cats Aladdin :cat: and Jasmine :cat:) but my favorite movie is The Lion King. When we started planning our honeymoon, my first idea was a weeklong Disneymoon, but I very quickly put that idea aside, as knowing my husband, I figured it probably wasn't a good idea, and you'll see why.

Second, there is my amazing husband, Stephen.

Stephen turned 28 in July. He too went to wdw several times as a kid, but never quite fell in love with it the way I did. It kind of didn't help that he found out on a disney vacation that his parents were getting a divorce. As such, Stephen can pretty much take or leave disney. He's rather indifferent, but he goes with me because as he's told me, he knows it makes me happy. Stephen does like the movie Aladdin just as much as I do, which is why I was able to name our cats as I did, and have an Aladdin and Jasmine cake topper, and have our first dance to "A whole new world". But Stephen doesn't like lines or heat at all, which is why I pretty much scrapped the idea of a disneymoon.

Stephen and I made the decision to take a Carnival Cruise for our Honeymoon. Our wedding was on Saturday, Aug. 6, we left for the cruise on Sunday Aug. 7 and returned to Florida on Saturday Aug. 13. We would then be able to spend Saturday through Monday Aug. 15 in FL, but hadn't decided where yet. Two months before the wedding, my husband asked if it would be ok if he handled the FL portion of our Honeymoon. I said sure, and he told me he was going to keep it a surprise. Little did I know what he was actually planning.

Up next: What the full surprise was, and how he gave it to me, plus how he did it.
