Our Halloween Pop adventure trip report 10/25-11/1/09 Animal Kingdom #3 6/28 pg.19

Well our trip has come to an end :sad1:

But that does mean it's time for the trip report to start :woohoo:

I'm very glad I decided to do this because it helps me keep the trip going - especially since we are not a family that goes every year - we probably won't be back for at least 3 years. :sad2:

A short intro, the cast of characters were: Me - Joy, 36, have been to DW about 6 times, maybe 7. My DH - Doug, 36, has now been to DW 3 times. My DD - Maddie, 6, has now been to DW 3 times. DSIL - Tricia, 32, this was her first trip.

Here we are:

The weather was wonderful for our trip. It was in the upper 80's all week and only about 5 minutes of rain the whole trip :yay:

The trip did have a few ups and downs, but overall it was great. I did learn a few things.

1) Trying to save $30 in baggage fees by only packing two suitcases isn't worth the stress and possible $180 you will have to spend when the two said suitcases are 3 pounds over 50 :scared1:

on the return trip. (No we didn't spend $180 - we threw out sunscreen and conditioner)

2) If you work too hard to plan some Disney magic - you may end up disappointed and in tears in public. Let the Disney magic happen naturally.

The best news is that we all stayed Swine flu free! That was such a relief :cheer2:

So I hope you all enjoy this trip report - it's my first one, but I'll do my best to keep everyone entertained. Between my SIL and I we took about 800 pictures - so there will be many to enjoy :banana:

i agree! i learned this this hard way on our first trip together in may 2007. it was a rough hour there at epcot but i got over it and we had a great trip after that. hope you did, too!

I hope to get the first day up in the next day or so. I have to work tomorrow, so it may not happen until Wednesday.

Well, I've got a sick kiddo right now, some sort of nasty tummy bug - so this may be delayed a bit - especially if she shares :scared1:

(I'm washing my hands and using purell like crazy). Hopefully I can work on the report tomorrow a bit, we'll see. Thank God she didn't get this last week!

I'm so sorry that you've got a sick child. I sure hope that she starts feeling better soon.

I'm late, but here!
I know what you mean about all the planning and the tears. We've had moments like that too. Mine is usually becuase of a less "magical" person along with us. LOL!

Hi I'm new here thanks to mickystoontown! We just got back from our halloween trip to the world and stayed at all star movies ( I was not happy with them for the 2nd year in a row). Next halloween we will go back to Pop can't wait to read about your trip!

Thanks for all the well wishes for my DD. She hasn't been sick today or had a fever, but she has been sleeping all afternoon. Hopefully she can go to school tomorrow.

As you can tell by the title we stayed at Pop Century for this trip. I thought I’d start the report off by sharing some Pop Pictures. I have to give my SIL credit, she walked all over the resort taking pictures :worship:

yay pop!!! I feel like I'm at home already

Pop is my fav value although if you ask my Ddad he'd NEVER stay there but all I need is a clean bed, clean shower, clean towels, and stacey on the TV and I'm set

Now, if only they had a hot tub....!!

If you could send me some of the chicken alfredo dinner from there I would be a happy camper

Can't wait to hear about the room!
