Our First WDW Trip in Photobook form!

Welcome to our first WDW Trip! We've been to WDW 2 more times since this trip but I made a photobook of that first trip and wanted to share it.

To ATL and Back: How the Disney Kids Survived Snowpocalypse 2011

On our first trip, DH (Andrew) and I had been married for almost a year and I had been saving all the extra money I was earning at my job (any that wasn't already earmarked for bills) to pay for this trip. Leading up to the trip I LOVED to do tons of research. I read The Unofficial Guide to WDW cover to cover (really and truly...I skipped the part about offsite hotels but read every other chapter). And I found the DIS. By the time we got to Disney World I felt like I was a pro. We hardly ever stood in line (going in early May helped with that) and my DH was VERY impressed at how much we got through each day.
We had a blast and loved it so much we ended up going back in January and then again the following January. Now we have a new baby and are already starting to dream about taking him on his first trip in a few years.

I love this! Loved the pics! It was so much fun to read these stories from your first trip, too. How awesome that you were family of the day at Pop! The butterfly towel is adorable. The ring story with Aladdin & Jasmine was great, btw! And the buttons for getting stuck in jail with Zurg really made me laugh, too. You guys are awesome. It really looks like you both had an amazing time.

Oh hi Dee! I missed this reply somehow.
Things are going great with my little guy. I love being a mom!! I wake up every day excited to spend the day with him.
Our plan is to take him for his 3rd birthday (if we can hold off that long). I don't really want to take a baby and 3 seems like a good age to start. He'll be old enough to be familiar with the characters and really enjoy himself. We're already dreaming about where to stay and what things we think he'll really enjoy.

I'm glad you liked it! This is my favorite photobook. Maybe cause it was kinda my favorite trip. We had so much fun and it came right after a really stressful couple of months with both of our jobs. We got there, turned off our phones, and got to hide from the world for a week. Andrew smiled and laughed more in that week than I think I had seen him do since we got married. He was working a job he hated and was just miserable. This break was much needed.

Aladdin and jasmine were the BEST!! And that zurg story still makes us laugh. We take those buttons back every trip and wear them. Lol!
