Today we woke up slightly later than early enough to get to Epcot at opening. ( It was a late first night!) Anticipation of our first experience of Epcot got us up and out the door in record time! We had coffee and cereal in the room and were off. The bus came shortly and before we knew it we were walking in and looking at a close up view of Spaceship Earth! We headed straight to TT intending to procure a FP and explore WS...however, a nice man handed us a fastpass for 6 and said he couldn't use it! So we grabbed another family of 3 who had also just arrived and had never been to WDW before and we all rode TT with about a 10 minute wait! What a way to begin our day! We were definitely sprinkled with pixie dust on this trip...

After our ride, we entered World Showcase. Our first impression was WOW! It is just beautiful. We went to Norway first so we could ride Maelstrom. No line and Dd loved going backward. We enjoyed the shop. Dh is Swedish and loves all things Scandanavian so we spent awhile in here. We purchased Dd a passport and got her first stamp and message. She also collected pressed pennies from each country and that was great. DD enjoyed a Norwegian chocolate bar as we walked back toward Mexico.

Mexico was so lovely inside...all the color and whimsy of the real thing. We shopped first...Dd loves jewelry and found a bracelet like one she got in Tijuana when she was 4 that she had outgrown. She bought it with some cute silver earrings. Then we did the ride (cute) and got her passport stamped and signed. I thought this was such a great experience talking to people from each country...Dd loved it.

By now it was time for our lunch PS at Norway princess meal. We checked in and were seated in about 15 minutes. The castle was lovely and cool inside and just the rest we needed. We got to visit with Aurora, Belle ( soo lovely and sweet), Ariel, Jasmine, and Cinderella. Took pics and signed autographs in the special book that I made for Dd...She got lots of comments on her book and it was fun to talk to the princesses. She has about a billion autographs from our many Disneyland trips so we just do some special ones now-no waiting in line. Anyway, lunch was good...we enjoyed the appetizer platter. Dh had the salmon, which was delicious, I had the veggie tart, which I thought was good, but not great, and Dd had pasta with meat ball, which she liked. The desserts were good as well...different. Overall, it was a lovely experience and we would do it again.

After lunch, we continued touring the countries in the order that we encountered them. We had so much fun! Dh and I LOVED World Showcase. We saw every movie (much to Dd's distress...but, she humored us) We made it to every country, but U.K. and Canada. We ate dinner at the counter service in Morocco after getting caught in a HUGE downpour in France! We snagged a table inside after a bit of shuffling around ( It was packed as the rain was coming down in buckets!) We ordered 2 Shwarma platters with lamb and chicken and shared. The food was awesome! So delicous...We ate every last morsel on our plates and enjoyed moroccan beer and an orangewater coffee..YUM!

Some highlights of our day included discovering the kaki gori stand...those are great! Dh and I Sharing an ice cold German beer on a bench in Germany while Dd went in and out of the toy shop... Dd picking out an oyster in Japan and having it made into a necklace...searching for pressed pennies...watching the Chinese Acrobats...and seeing Illuminations-what a perfect ending to a great second day in WDW!

I really felt 'transported' today...totally in a different world. It was so great to spend all day with my Dd and Dh enjoying ourselves, making discoveries and being entertained. We've been so busy the last few years with work, school etc...that it was really a treat to be on vacation here together just wandering around in such a lovely, fun place...

Anyway, the magic wasn't over...After such a long, hot day spent at WS, we were ready for a swim. Dd and Dh went right down to the pool as soon as we got back to our room. I joined them after a bit of down time in the room and we sat in the hot tub for awhile to ease our aching feet. It was a nice, relaxing end to a lovely, fun day ( even tho the hot tub wasn't particularly hot)

When we got back to our room, Dd found colorful bags of goodies on the bed. (How'd those get there?!) Oh...they were from Tink. Tink sent a postcard from WDW about 3 weeks before or trip so we should've known she was up to something...Dd was sooo tickled and surprised. It was just precious. Later, as we were all about to go to sleep, Dd said to me, "Mommy, I must be the luckiest girl here to get all these surprises." What a way to end the perfect day.

Oh gosh that was a perfect ending to your day! Thank you for the lovely report.
