Our first trip will be June 2008

. I read somewhere that the fireworks aren't every nite - is that true? I could see that maybe being the case possibly in the winter, but would that be the case in June?

You got any q's on WDW for me? x

nah they will be on most nights...right now I dont have any questions but when i think of some I will pm you;)

ok now im confused..i swear that I thought that your trip this past june was just your second time going to DL...what other time of the year have you gone...my brain must be going or something:confused:

LOL No your right great memory. I went in June of this year and in Oct of 06. My next "3rd" trip will be June 08. Eventually I would love to try at Xmas, but im not too keen on the super crowd levels and I like having warm weather, the park open until 11pm every night rather then 8pm before the peak season hits again, and I like having most rides open with little to no referbs going on at the time im there.

girl you have no idea........there are so many ofpk times where it is still warm in the day and even if it doesnt stay open till 11pm it doesnt matter because you can get more done between 10am and 8pm during offpk than you can during anytime in pk season...and truthfully the times that I go the only real refurbs going on are fantasyland rides....like for instance, Im going at the end of oct...ofpk time....weather is still really nice, the only refurbs are casey jr and alice... fantasmic is going and so are fireworks on weekends and weekends are open late. and with the park closing early Im already pooped and at least I get to use my room way more than you normally would and I get a good night sleep:goodvibes

Belfastgal,
Is it too late to change hotels???? I'm only asking, cuz it would be really nice for you to able to walk to DL, and there are so many close by that have reasonable rates. If you look up this link: www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap, it gives you a map of all the lodging around DL. Being able to walk everywhere is one the benefits of DL. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately yes, we have paid it all upfront and we would lose about £300 ($600) if we were to change now. We'll be hiring a car so it won't be that much of a hassle. We're used to a good half hour's drive to the WDW parks when we go there, so a quick 5 mins next year will be a godsend to us!

The layout between DLR and WDW have some differences which affect decisions about using a car. The information in this link may clarify:

No driving it is then! There's a free shuttle from the hotel so we'll probably use that or a taxi

I have heard just what you told me so many times on these boards, so I know what your saying and thanks for restating cause its nice to have that extra opinion:thumbsup2 I just like to maximize my time with those few extra hours as I only get to go to Cali once a year if im lucky and since I have to spend so much money to get there, those few extra hours are worth every penny I have to spend.

Hi folks
Anyway, I've been reading up on Fastpasses and was just wondering as I think I may have picked this up from a post, but haven't heard it repeated anywhere else. Once you get a FP can you use it from your allocated time and then if not used during that time, basically at any point that day?

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks x

I have used FP well past the return time with no problem. I did have a couple of incidences where the CM would say something like, "Next time try to use your FP closer to the expiration time," or something like that....But they took it and we got on the ride, so no problems...
