Our first trip, Our first time to WDW, My first PTR...This could be interesting!!

Never done this before! Im not even sure if anyone is going to read this!! But I am just going CRAAZY about this vacation and I can't stop talking about it.
...needless to say everyone else is not so happy about me going on and on and on and on....so I figure here is the place for me to let all that excitement out! So here goes...hope its okay!! haha


So the Who the When the Why (isn't that OBVIOUS?!?):

SOOOO I am Jacquie -20 years old and I am going with DBF (22). We are going from Nov 18-30 (last minute sort of).

So a little more about us, we have been dating for 4.5 years and this will be our first vacation together! I still live at home with my family, but I have been working full time this year while taking a year off school so Ive earned the money to go. I work as a flight attendant for WestJet airlines so both DBF and I fly for next to nothing.

We knew we wanted to go somewhere together especially since we fly so cheap, but DBF just finished school and has had a hard time finding good work, so he has NO money. I on the other hand have more than Ive EVER had...and not much to spend it on (live at home...so I only pay my parents a little every month...)

I decided I don't want to give up a great vacation opportunity (I will be back in school in January, who knows when we can go again?!) So I convinced DBF that I can pay for the vacation and he can just pay me back when he has the $$.

Hes not very happy about this, he doesn't like me lending him money...but I convinced him that it is SOOOOO important to me and so he agreed.

DBF has never been ANYWHERE...we live in Vancouver Canada, and DBF has never gone further than one province away... he doesn't know ANYTHING about WDW so I hope he LOVES it.

I know I will! Ive never been, but I have been to Disneyland twice (gr7 and again in gr 12) and I am a Disney FREAK I loooove it soooo much! My sisters are too...they are SOOO jealous that they can't come.

In fact my sisters and I are starting to think once the youngest has graduated we should try to make annual trips to Disney (Land or WOrld!!)

I'm thinking it is time for a break from the blabbing and share some pictures!!

Part 2: What we've decided SO far...

So I left out some important information in the last post...WHERE are we staying?!

Right from the beginning we planned to stay in a Value Resort, it never even occured to me to go for anything more expensive. I was raised in a family of buying the basics and basically NEVER splurging, and I guess I inherited a bit of that...

And becasue my DBF is not involving himself in the planning in ANY way (which is fine by me...I LOVE the planning!!) he didn't care where we styed.

So we are staying at the ALL Star Music Resort...we shall see how that works out.

It's already paid, and its under 45 days so there is no turning back now, but looking back I realize that we could have gone somewhere nicer for a couple days! I work for an airline (as mentioned before) and I get deals on the resorts...but becasue we are going over Thanksgiving... (Smart Canadian eh....booking my vacation time, and planning to hit WDW, RIGHT over American Thanksgiving...DUHHH...)

SO ANYWAYS, becasue we are going over Thanksgiving that first week was balcked out, no airline deals...but I could have booked the All Star Music for the first week (Nov 18-24) and then used my airline deals to book somewhere nicer for the last couple days (Nov 25-29)...but now its all booked, and Im pretty sure I won't be able to change it...cuz we would have to then create TWO reservations...making the one I paid for go down in price...and then they would probably charge me some changing fees or something...

ANYWAYS...maybe next time!

So All Star Music Resort, we also have 10-day Park Hopper Passes, Misckey'd Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets for Nov 29th, and Universal Tickets for the extra two days we are there...

Originally we were ALL about the dining plan, I had TOTALLY decided thats the route we were going...but now Im having second thoughts. For one this trip is obviously really last minute, so finding space for ADRs has ALREADY proven to be hard (Thanksgiving...doh!) and Im also wary about HAVING to set aside time each day to sit down and eat, DBF and I are both young (20 & 22) and both VERY MUCH children at heart...and Im pretty sure we are going to be going like crazy....Sitting down to eat could take away some precious riding time!! And plus, we are both pretty content with fast food, so most days eating CS I have made us 4 TS ADRs and eating some breakfast type foods (granola bars and whatnot) in our room in the morning...I think we will be better off NOT using the dining plan...so its a good thing I hadn't booked it!!

As for what TS meals I booked...Im a newbie...so if there is something TERRIBLY wrong with my plans please let me know....Im just wingin' it here!

Nov 20 - 11:30 - lunch at Tony's
Nov 25 - 5:30 - dinner at 50's Prime Time
Nov 26 - 1:10 - lunch at Coral Reef (thinking we will hit Candlelight Processional after this...)
Nov 27 - 6:00 - dinner at Sci Fi Dine In

Now the thing to remember about us...we are not VERY picky eaters...I like simple foods and he likes pretty much ANYTHING....the purpose for our having TS meals is more about the themed atmosphere and the fun....as long as the food isn't HORRIBLE...we will enjoy it...

So that is that. a quick breakdown of the vacation:

Nov 17 - Depart from Vancouver (red-eye to Toronto, then fly down to Orlando)
Nov 18- Arrive in Orlando, Get to Resort...go spend last couple hours of the night at MK (I know it sounds CRAZY...but we have that 10th day, and we need to fit it in SOMEWHERE!)
Nov 19 - ??
Nov 20 - MK for lunch other than that ??
Nov 21 - Universal
Nov 22 - Universal
Nov 23 - ??
Nov 24 - ??
Nov 25 - MGM for dinner other than that ??
Nov 26 - Epcot for lunch and Candlelight Processional and ??
Nov 27 - MGM for dinner other than that ??
Nov 28 - ??
Nov 29 - ?? MVMCP at night!!
Nov 30 - Home


So that is my plan for now!!


I am off to work for 3 days...but when I get back I will be happy to blab some more aboutmy upcoming trip!!!!!

We will be there from the 26th to the 30th too. Look for the cute kid in my siggy and that is us. We are staying at BCV.

You guys will have a blast...cannot wait to hear more.\

Part 3: Quick update

Im not sure if I am going to keep writing this. I don't think it is very interesting! haha...but while I decide I am going to add a little update...

On Thursday Nov 21 DBF and I are going to see the 9:00 show of La Nouba!!!!!

I have never seen La Nouba but I have seen Quidam. It was a lot of fun. I am sure you will enjoy it. I would recommend most of the restaurants in EPCOT. We liked Norway, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, Canada, and Mexico. We want to try Germany next trip.
