A quick recap:
Day 1: Plane trip down, towncar ride, check in at CR. DW and I had a wonderful, lightning-lit dinner at CG.
Day 2: Breakfast at CRT. Whirlwind tour of Fantasy and Tomorrowland. Disappointing dinner at Mexico. Toured the World Showcase. Illuminations.
Day 3: A day at AK with lunch at AKL. Dinner at Kona Cafe. A fun but soggy NoJ.
Day 4: DW and I woke up at about 6:30 to thunder so loud it shook the room. One of those famous Orlando thunderstorms was about to wreck our day at MGM! Turned on TV and checked out the Weather Channel.....it wasn't looking good, so we decided to get a little extra rack time and headed back to bed. When we woke up at about ten, it was bright, sunshiny and very warm.
Since our resort's guide said it was RnR's last day before renovation, we decided to risk the weather and get over to MGM. Unfortunately for us, the resort's guide was a misprint, and RnR had closed the day before!
PHOOEY! We made the best of it, though....skipping ToT (I get a little motion sick), we saw the Beauty and the Beast (not as good as Tarzan Rocks), Indiana Jones, and went through the Disney Animation tour and the One Man's Dream exhibit (which was awesome). Also did a quick ride on Star Tours, and did a bit more shopping.
Rides were not as big a priority this year as last....we focused in on doing the shows and seeing the exhibits we missed during last year's whirlwind touring.
After spending afternoon at MGM, we headed back to our room in CR for a break and then back over to MK for NoJ. It was a wonderful, dry evening. We got to see some Point of Grace, then trooped over to see Salvador, caught a little Kirk Franklin from a distance, and then staked out our spot right in front of the stage for Zoegirl. What a great night, and a magical location!
Next, a couple of days off...and a business transaction that will keep us coming back for years!
