A quick recap:
Day 1: Plane trip down, towncar ride, check in at CR. DW and I had a wonderful, lightning-lit dinner at CG.
Thursday morning found us waking up early to head to MK and have breakfast at CRT with Cindi. Although I was a little afraid, with just the two of us, that we might feel out of place at CRT, nothing could have been farther from the truth. It was another wonderful dining experience, and we very much enjoyed the character interaction. Watching all the little ones light up when introduced to Cindi and her crew was magical for both of us. Oh, for our first little one to come along!
After CRT, we headed out to Fantasyland. Last time we were at MK was during Memorial Day weekend, and we missed all the rides in Fantasy Land due to multi-hour waits. What a difference a few months can make! We walked right on to all the rides, and even did Peter Pan (my favorite among these rides) twice.
After a quick jaunt to Tommorrowland to ride Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear (and some shopping on Main Street), we headed to CR for a much needed break. We found these little breaks to be the biggest advantage of staying on property. They kept us sane, relatively cool and dry (it was VERY hot), and enabled some time away from the parks to relax. It is vacation, after all!
After our nap, we headed back to Epcot, where we had PS at San Angel In in the Mexico pavilion. This was the most disappointing meal of our entire stay at WDW.
Although we weren't totally dissatisfied, and were probably a little thrown off by the wonder of the CG dining experience, it was still not quite nice enough for the money we paid, and we won't be going back.
After the meal, we checked out the American pavilion, including the awesome Voices of Liberty and American Vybe groups, and stopped bye the China pavilion to see the Wonders of China (very cool) on the way to our Illuminations viewpoint. We chose to sit along the fence between Mexico and Norway, and thought it was a very good spot. The tape ran out on my video camera with about a minute left, though (DRAT!).
Although the forecast had been for downpour type rain, there was no rain to be found on this day. All that would change on day three, however......
