This is not only my first PTR but our first trip and probably the only trip we will take until we have grandkids. So please if anyone has recommendations or tips on what we should be doing please let me know.

We will be a traveling group of five:
Me (30) Been researching this trip for two years and can't wait to go.
Husband (27) Just about tired of my need to plan but still exicted for kids to see Disney World. He is a bit of a homebody so we will see how this goes
Daughter (10 will be 11 on trip) Very exicted about the trip and anxious to ride all the rides
Son (4) Loves everything Disney and wants to go to Mickey Mouse House
Sister (16) Can not wait to see Winnie the Pooh. Although she is my sister she is just like one of our own and we take her everywhere with us.

The plan we will be leaving Oklahoma early on June 4th and will arrive in Orlando on June 5th. We will stay for 10 days and the drive home for two more. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and are gettingn 6 day tickets with the water park and more option.

All right here is a more detailed plan

June 4 drive stay the night in Tupelo
June 5 drive remainder and arrive aroud 6 check in and rest
June 6 reservation at Chef Mickeys 10:30 look around at different resorts, ride
monorail and maybe hit a waterpark
June 7 Magic Kingdom day EMH hours so we will be there at 8, take a break and
then go back
June 8 Epcot day rope drop 9
June 9 Rest day minature golf and DTD
June 10 Hollywood Studios rope drop 9
June 11 another rest day probably do a waterpark
June 12 Magic Kingdom and Crystal Palace reservations at 10:15
June 13 Animal Kingdom EMH 8
June 14 Day to shop hope to hit an outlet mall
June 15 Last day Epcot
June 16 hitting road to head home will stay in Tupelo again

Sounds like a good plan so far! Can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

We will be there around the same time...I hope it isn't super crowded, but we all know it will be!

Sounds exciting. I bet it will be real handy to have your sister there to help get everyone ready during the trip.

All right as I said I have been preparing for a long time meaning I have been shopping for a long time. Since we are planning to be in the car for 20 hours there and 20 hours back I have spent a small fortune buying small activities for the trip. The Dollar tree and Target dollar spot have been scoured on more than one occasion. I have also bought Toy Story 3, Princess and the Frog and Despicable Me for them to watch.

For the actual stay I have picked up a prize for each day
Stuffed animals, tatoos, toothbrushes, tshirts, atutograph books with pens and and I still need to get a few more things.

For Easter they are getting money for the pressed penny machines, crocs and jibbitzs.

I have also started buying snack foods, juice boxes, swimming stuff and a few other odds and ends.

Along with all the things I have bought for the trip I have also bought 7 or 8 planning books.

She is normally very helpful even if I have to prod her along a little in her beauty routine. However since she is the only child at home now I worry that two weeks straight with my kiddos may be to much for her. I might have to leave her in the room for a little while by herself.

Okay now that we are closer I have kicked planning into high gear. The list are being made (how is it I own no clothes) and we are rounding up money. We have managed to accumlate $1100 in survey rewards and credit card rewards and my sister is paying $700. We also received a little help from my dad's life insurance it was larger than I expected so we throw some of the extra into the disney fund to give us some wiggle room.

My husband who was a little reluncate at first is amazed that I planned for Star Wars weekend and that Star Tours has been redone. He is beside himself with excitment. Star Wars is his obessions.

My kids are also very exicted that we start one of our countdowns on Friday. (Saw two ideas I liked and couldn't pick which one so we choose both) One of the countdowns is for 106 days and the other is 50.
