All I can say is wow! Loved the parks, rides, food. The express passes are a must. Harry Potter is so amazing. DD was picked at first visit to Olivanders. Wanted to ride the forbidden journey more, but lines are crazy! The tips from everyone on the Dis board were extremely helpful. At Wdw now & kids are still talking about the parks st UO. Definitely going back! Have to say Royal Pacific was disappointing. Did not honor any room requests, forgot our fridge, just found the service very lackluster in general, smokers all over the pool area. and really don't think I would stay there again. Are the other resorts better?

i haven't had the experience of rph like you had.
mine have been just the opposite.

every once in awhile i read a post about a disappointment with a hotel.
probably read more of hrh lacking in some ways than the other 2.

hope you contacted the manager while you were there to sort out the issues.

glad you enjoyed the parks!

We didn't contact management because I felt like so much time was already wasted and no one seemed to care when I brought it up. Asked about room to multiple staff members. Staff walked by people smoking around the pool and never said anything. Would not stay there again - not for that price anyway. Glad I had the discount!

We loved HRH and were also disappointed with rpr. We found the amenities, service, room, food and clientele much better at rpr.

Thinking of going back in April. Maybe we will try HRH instead:)

We just got back as well. The only thing I didn't like about our trip was staying at RPR. I wasted money on that, totally - my daughter didn't like anything about the hotel, and she also found too many smokers at the pool area. I did the math on our last day and realized it would have been $120 cheaper to just stay at the Hampton Inn and purchase express passes for the days we went - and then we'd have had a lot more flexibility of which days to visit the parks, instead of feeling like we had to do all our park days in a row (which resulted in her being sick the 4th day and we totally wasted it). I know the on site hotels are loved by many, but not by us, and we won't return to them. We enjoyed the $55 a night motel we stayed at our first night much more than we enjoyed being at Royal Pacific.

We did th same thing last week, started at UO and moved over to Disney. The kids raved about UO and still had fun at Disney but I think since we have done if before, the novelty of Universal won them over. Plus we never had to wait because of express passes. We loved being able to walk from hotel to parks to dinner. We stayed at RPR too, but we loved it.
