Our first stay at DVC members, how do we make a room request?

We are staying at VGC in December. This will be our first stay as DVC members. What is the best way to put in a room request? We would love a DCA view!

You can call member services and request a theme park view. They will put your request on your reservation. When you check in, remind them that you requested a theme park view. If you haven't already been assigned a room with that view, they will see if they have one. You may not have a full view of CA so don't get disappointed with the view you have. I have had views of the Tower of Terror, Silly Symphony Swings and the Ferris Wheel(WOC area) on separate occasions when I have requested a theme park view at GCV.

If you hop on over to the Villas at the Grand Californian Owners and Lovers thread, there's lists of villas that have what you want ...

You can request theme park view, but you might get a view of the Grizzly Rock or the World of Color/Paradise Pier view. Also 3rd floor and up gets better views. I put it a list of which studio I wanted for my last stay and got my third choice. Sometimes the magic works.
