Our first moonlight magic event tonight so not impressed

We were also there and had the same issues with using the vouchers. The lines were crazy! We ended up getting two popcorns and a drink for a single voucher at Pop-Cone…it made absolutely no sense to me, but the CM assured me that the math worked out. We were sorely disappointed that the Lunar NY kiosks closed an hour before the event ended since we had not been advised that they wouldn’t be open and DH was wanting to try a number of items. We never did get any of the free drinks (bottled) or novelties because the lines looked deep. In terms of rides, we did Jellyfish (don’t ask), Sky School, Radiator Springs (single rider was active and walk-on), Luigi’s, Mater, and the two brave souls in my group did Incredicoaster and Guardians. We also saw One with a great view. What I really thought was well done was the character roster. We met Jiminy Cricket, California Adventure Mickey, Captain America, Black Widow/ Loki, Sulley, Shang Chi, saw the Aristocats (crazy line, so didn’t wait), Edna Mode, Sadness, and Star Lord/ Gamora who were by far the most fantastic interactions of the evening.

This was the fourth MM I have attended between the two coasts (first at DL) and I have to say that it was miles above the post -Covid Epcot party we last attended, but that is an incredibly low bar.

We saw people using DAS, in response to PP :).

Posted this in another thread, so reposting it here. Seems like the food lines where a theme for others as well. We ended up eating at Ballast Point right before the event so we certainly didn’t need to eat anything else That evening.
One thing they could improve on, is put a buffer between park close and the event start time, that way the lines have some time to cool down. They do this with other “After hours“ events. Take the Sweet Hearts Nite, Disneyland closes at 8, the event starts at 9. Obviously this increases cost, but, they are billing it as a magical special evening.
We were fortunate enough to attend the recent Moonlight Magic at DCA.

We had tickets to one back in September 2022, which was cancelled because of Hurricane Ian, so this was our first moonlight magic event.

Here are some observations, no real flow or theme to them, so I'll use bullet points.
  • When the park closed to regular quests Radiator Springs had an 80 minute wait, most other attractions had low wait to no wait times. I walked right on to Incredicoaster, and Spiderman Web Slingers. We looped back around to Radiator Springs and the line was down to around 35 minutes, which as accurate.
  • We made a noob mistake, and saved our food coupons for later in the event thinking we could use them at the Lunar New Year carts, which had all closed up by the time we went to use them at 10 pm or so. The remaining food carts had pretty crazy lines (churro carts etc), so we never ended up using them.
  • I think our favorite part of the event was having the stores on Buena Vista Street pretty much to ourselves, so nice to be able to wander around at our own pace and not feel crowded.
  • Picked up the red DVC Spirit Jersey at the front of Elias & Co, they had a nice windbreaker and lounge fly as well.
  • ALSO, since I love taking photos, having the parks almost empty (since everyone apparently lined up for the food!) I was able to capture some great night shots around the park.
Conveniently we will be staying at Riviera in May and will hopefully snag tickets to the Hollywood Studios event.

That's too bad. We have only been able to make one event at EPCOT, but it was AMAZING! Short lines for the attractions. Got our photos with characters I've never seen in the parks. It was a magical night. Sorry you didn't have the same experience.
