We got back 2 days ago from our first family trip to Disney. The plane ride and ME ride where uneventful, if not long. We stayed at POR and it was lovely. We were in building 39 in Alligator Bayou. We got in on Sunday evening and ate at the food court. It was pretty good. We brought all kinds of things to have for breakfast so we ate breakfast in our room every morning.

First day was MK. We had lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table. The food was pretty good, but the princesses were awesome. The girls (7,5,5) loved them. They actually did eat, too, which was a plus. One of the twins is scared of the dark which we didn't find out until it was too late. We did go on Space Mountain. She screamed the whole time. I was scared for her and didn't really enjoy myself. The 7 year old LOVED it. We did get lots of autographs. We drank tons of water and had lots of snacks (some which we brought ourselves). We went to AK the next day (went in It's Tough to be a Bug and twin scared of the dark was terrified and other twin was a little bit scared - 7 year old loved it), had a rest day the next day (pool during the day and Downtown Disney at night), EPCOT the next day, MK again the next day and MGM the last day. It was so fun. It was hot and humid each day and I think I sweated gallons every day. All 3 girls have long, long hair and they don't like to wear it up. I couldn't believe they wore it down all week while I had mine in ponytails all week. No blisters or sunburns.

Found out that one of the twins (same one who is scared of the dark), also gets motion sick. She barfed on the ME bus to the airport as we were leaving. The bus made many stops and starts and she didn't like that. Funny how she didn't get sick any other time. Then she got sick on the second plane ride home. Was ok after that. We were not prepared on the bus and left a big mess for the bus driver or whoever to clean up. Thankfully, we all had one extra pair of clothes in our suitcases and we had taken them on the ME bus with us. DH was covered, too, so he washed himself and her and changed them. On the plane ride, we were prepared and he caught it all in a bag (yuck!). He is so good with that stuff.

It was a very fun trip and we will probably do it again, but not for a few years. Everyone was so nice - cast members and tourists alike. For the nighttime parade at MK we were standing behind some people before it started and the man got up and let the girls sit on the curb. That was a great parade. I loved it. Of course, one of the twins had to pee really bad when the parade was almost over. So, of course, I missed the end. That was ok.

I think they had a great time and that is what we wanted. But they are glad to be home and have been playing with their toys non-stop for the last 2 days. Back to the real world.

Thanks to everyone for all the tips and tricks they gave me. It was a great vacation.

It seems like you had a wonderful time, I'm going Aug 22 - 27 with my daughter 5, and my niece 9, I can't wait. We'll be staying at the all star movie resort. I am a little scared to take them to see it's tough to be bug but I really want to see it so I'm going to go for it. We're flying from Brooklyn, Ny. It's my first time traveling ever. Can't wait :rotfl:
