Our first day at Magic Kingdom 4-29-04

Magic Kingdom Day!

Since our wonderful workout session last night took everything we had out of us we decided to sleep in and just get to the park whenever we woke up and got ready.

About 10 we walked to the food court at Port Orleans Riverside and got our first *wonderful* aka pricey meal for breakfast.

Got to the Delta Platform at Port Orleans and had to wait about 20 min for a bus. Finally got on a very crowded bus and arrived 10 minutes later at Magic Kingdom. It was MASS CHAOS! We usually time the crowds right at Disneyland as to avoid mob scenes like we were witnessing at Magic Kingdom today and I actually feared for our sanity with the amount of people and line cutters in the park today.

An older couple *also known as old enough to know better or in their late 30’s or early 40’s* tried several times to line cut in front of us at Space Mountain but leave it to me, I set them straight! If there is one thing that drives me insane is people who love to butt in front of people in line (*especially at the Magic Kingdom where everyone is supposed to be nice and happy*) but we finally got on Space Mountain.

We managed to ride about 10 rides today total before finally returning to our hotel around 5:00pm.

We were going to meet some internet friends (HI TOM AND JULIE!)at Beach Club Villas (actually he was nice enough to come and pick us up at Port Orleans) so the kids could get to know each other and swim and then the plan was to go to the boardwalk to get some dinner.

Our kids of course were a pain and not behaving well, and I had a little more gin on an empty stomach than I should have so I think our first impression wasn’t that great but oh well, live and learn!

We went back to our hotel *via the same friend* about 10 tonight and went to sleep figuring that we would go back to the pit of chaos, also known as Magic Kingdom, again tomorrow but our feet hurt and we were exhausted so our plan was to go back to Port Orleans around 2 or so in the afternoon and swim and get ready for our cruise

Hi Heidi and Ryan(Monkeyboy),

Glad to see that all is getting better, I was worried when I read your first posts when you got home. To be sick, really had to S**K, I know that I saw you and Monkeyboy not as much as we thought we would on the ship. Julie and I and the girls really enjoy meeting you guys especially Lindsey being able to swim with McKaylee at the Beach Club.

I still have Ryan's cell number so don't be surprised that some time he gets a call and I yell "Monkeyboy I Need a Drink Damnit!!!"

You know my first post I should have just not even written it because I figured after a few days my perception would be better but I didn't listen to myself and posted it anyway. There were a LOT of good things about it...it's just the good things were things that we never expected or thought they would be what were good about the trip!

Meeting you guys at BCV was definitely SO MUCH FUN! Our kids LOVED that pool and loved your girls!!! Miles would tell me all the time that he saw your girls almost every time we passed the club or when we forced him to go....but the little fart wouldn't go and play with either of them at any time!

It was like you posted earlier that when we first met you it was like meeting long lost friends! We had a great time (even if I did load up on a little too much gin ) and it was fun to see you guys around the ship!!

It would be great if you called Monkey Boy! I just yelled that phrase at him last night!!!

It was really fun meeting you and I think we seriously need to do a Vegas trip!!! We would leave our kids home and THEN you would see the bra flinging wonder in action!!
