Start with the ending: we had had a great time.
Three of us - DW, me and DS12 on our first cruise. We had a blast. Our server, Miguel, was superb. We had a fantastic meal at Palo's on Monday - what a view and the food was wonderful. Took a couple of hours for DS12 to figure out that he didn't really like the Oceaneer's Club ("it was for kids") and for him to determine that he was going to live on Decks 9 and 10 at the Basketball court. We could always find him by tuning to channel 11. He broke his wrist one week before sailing, but he was great. And Captain Henry signed his cast!
We thought the entertainment was excellent. From the extreme juggling, to Hercules to Disney Dreams, we loved them all. And the entertainment in the evening's on Route 66 was outstanding also.
We'd been to Nassau (actually Paradise Island) recently, so we only spent a little time on the island. We got extra time on the Wonder. It was WonderFul.
Castaway Cay was, as everyone told us, a blast. Enough said.
The food far exceeded our expectations. We also did a Galley Tour which was very interesting - who knew they made 5,000 cookies a day
Our cabin was spotless, and the towel animals were too cool.
We did have a small issue with them installing the new Wireless network and hammering outside of our cabin and blocking the hallway for several hours on Tuesday - when my wife was trying (unsuccessfully) to take a break after CC. We did call Guest Services, and they said they would call back with an explanation, but never did. This was not mandatory ship maintenance - this was the new wireless network which will generate more revenue. We were never told this was going to happen. It was a bit of a downer, but the only one.
One note of caution - beware of the blinking DVC magnetic pins. They wipe out the room key cards
And the Pirate's Night was wonderful
Next year we go back with no children
