Our first Character Breakfast

On our next trip, we have planned our first ever Character Breakfast. For the convenience, we have chosen Cape May Cafe. My question - do the characters sign autographs? I've avoided the autograph books with the kids on previous trips because I don't want to stand in the lines for the characters at the parks. But if they sign autographs at the breakfast, that will be wonderful!!

Yes they do...Cape May is a GREAT choice We love it...enjoy!!

Have your camera handy too! I usually get a shot of the character signing the book for Tori, then the posed picture of my DD with the character!

Taking DD21mos. to Crystal Palace to see Pooh. How do y'all's little ones deal with the "headed" characters? The nice CM at CRO said some toddlers are scared of the big characters. Bella LOVES Pooh (sleeps with him every night), but seeing him in real life might be scary.

Mostly, I just want waffles for breakfast!!

My dd was 18 months at the time and at first she was a bit unsure, but after seeing so many of them over the week and seeing others just hugging on them she warmed up to the "headed" characters. She didn't cry or even fuss at any she just needed some time to watch and observe.

If you are only going to do autographs at breakfast, you may want to do something other than an Autograph book.... Some of the ideas I have seen on here are a pillowcase, a t-shirt or a picture mat. If you do the T-Shirt or Pillow Case you may want to get a needle point ring to hold the fabric tight and remember they will not sign clothes you are wearing.

Hello,

I will be going to my first Character Breakfast at Ohana (7:30) and I was wondering about parking at the resort. We are driving down from Atlanta so we will have our own car to take if necessary. We are staying at the All-Star Music resort (if that makes a difference). We are going to the Magic Kingdom right after breakfast so we thought it would be nice to take the monorail there. Should I drive my car and park at Poly or just take a taxi there and catch a bus back to ASMu that night??

As long as you have a priority seating for the breakfast at the Poly the guard will give you a parking pass for something like three hours. You cannot leave your car there all day and go over to the MK. There are early buses to all the breakfasts and tours. You should be at your resort bus stop about 45 minutes before your ps. The bus may drop you off at the MK and then you can monorail over to the Poly. If you tell the driver you are eating at the Poly he/she may be able to drop you off right there. Also note that many Cast Members will tell you there are no early buses. DO NOT believe them. On the transportation board Chip N Dale goes over this just about every other day. He is a Disney bus driver and gets very frustrated with the bad info given to guests. He tells everyone to only trust transportation questions to the purple pants wearing bus drivers!!!!!
Anyway, it would be easier for you to bus from your resort and then monorail or boat over to the MK. When you want to return to your resort the buses load very close to the MK main entrance.
