For our honeymoon, we decided to "go big" and opted for the Deluxe Dining Plan! We have never gone Deluxe, and don't always even go regular! We already had our plans set prior to going Deluxe, so rework was required.

Let us know if you have any comments or suggestions!

We are arriving late Sunday evening, October 28th, so we most likely won't use anything other than a snack credit that evening. We will be leaving mid-afternoon on November 5th, so breakfast will be our only planned meal.

Were you planning on paying out of pocket for alot of these meals? Only reason I ask is because alot of the places you have booked require 2 table service credits.

No out of pocket. Since the dxdp is 3 credits per day, we will have 24 credits.

Well my calculations may be off, but here's my numbers on your meals.

Ohana's breakfast (character) 2 credits
Chefs of France 1 credit
Yachtsman's Steakhouse 2 credits

Chef Mickey's (character) 2 credits
Brown Derby 2 credits
Spirit of Aloha 2 credits

Tusker House (character) 2 credits
Citros 2 credits

AoA 1 credit
Hoop Dee Doo 2 credits

Grand Floridian (character) 2 credits
LeCellier 2 Credits
Crystal Palace 1 credit

Tony's 1 credit
LeCellier 2 credits

Kona 1 credit
Yak & Yeti 1 credit
Jiko 2 credits

Wave 1 credit

This comes to 31 credits. With some of your meals, because they are where character meals are served at that time, it makes them 2 credits. You may have to do some adjusting.

We are doing the Deluxe dining as well. We find it works out well if you plan a table service breakfast (1 credit) and a signature dinner (2 credits) We also have days with a Lunch table service 1 credit, and a signature dinner. it gives you the most bang for the buck. Good luck with your plans, and congrats on the wedding.

I was coming up with 27 credits:

By the way, I think your ADR's look fantastic. Congrats on the wedding!

yup , that seems more correct , the character meals are 1 credit except Cindy's , so 27 credits

Yes, you are right with the 27 credits! We will most likely only do le cellier once, provided we can get into the Epcot dessert party. Art of Animation will be out of pocket. Thanks for the catch! We will have 24 total to use.

And thanks everyone for the well wishes! We are excited and nervous for this abundance of food...Luckily we will have Food and Wine to use snack credits on!

Your ADR's really do sound great. You are gonna have a blast! This is going to be our 1st time using the deluxe dining plan too for our trip in December and we have alot of the same places you do! :thumbsup2

sounds fantastic - my only tip on dxdp (and we only did it once) other than go for the signature meals and shows which you have done - is to not go for the value for money option. Lots of people on these boards seem to eat food they have no interest in because it's 'rude not to'. We ate very well but only what we wanted/needed. Did bring dessert back to resort a couple of times but also declined it more than once and I think only used 8 of our 56 snack credits. Brought the rest of them home with us and DD enjoyed rice krispie treats in her packed lunch for school for about a month afterwards.

My other suggestion is make a rough estimate of meal costs as we found that the tips came as a bit of a shock :goodvibes:

Have a fantastic trip.

We always upgrade to DxDP. My other half eats his way through Disney. We also schedule quite a few signature meals. Our DD6 doesn't eat much for lunch so her and I share (when I do breakdown and get lunch), which has left us several times w/ meals left over at the end of our trip. We usually do 2 signature meals, but this time I increased it to 3 (CRT, HBD and Yachtsman). This should even things out for us. We did the SOA and HDDR last year and the year before and the year before and so on............so I figured we would try something new this year. We won't get as much bang for our buck, but it's something different. We usually do DxDP as a convenience thing. Our food is paid for up front and we don't have to worry about taking extra money for food. The only thing we have to take extra money for is tips. The tips will kill you!!!!! Just keep in mind that SOA and HDDR the tip is included in the price of the ticket. The one year we left tips and BOTH places and and SOA the lady never told us, but our waiter at HDDR did. We also found out that CRT does not require at tip and we left one there too the past few years! Ugh!!!!:crazy2:

You will definitely enjoy DxDP, but it's a lot of food. I gained 7 lbs last year.

Oh, and we has 11 snacks left when it was time to check out. We spent it on rice krispie Mickey's. Our friends loved them!!!

Funny you should mention the tips....We have a table service lunch planned for every day and a signature restaurant booked for dinner every night. As I was looking at the menus for the places we were going the other night, it occured to me that we will probably spend a few hundred dollars on tips alone.

We love deluxe, but we'd get burned out running around to that many ADR's. We try to stick with breakfast and then dinner.

Just wanted to say that you will be spending quite a bit of time eating and getting to places to eat. A lot of people, myself included, do not think that doing three meals a day is the way to go on the plan. When we do the Deluxe plan, we schedule TWO meals a day, a TS (1 pt.) lunch or breakfast then a Signature (2 pt.) dinner or a dinner show (2pt) for dinner. We use our snack credits for either breakfast or lunch if we get hungry in between.

Yup i counted 27 credits as well! You have a great lineup of restaurants. Only thing is, I would not do Le Cellier twice in one trip. Lol. But thats just me. Im assuming you guys are huge fans of the place?

I agree with the pp about scheduling 3 restaurants in one day. its too much. I'd do 1TS for either breakfast or lunch, then a signature at dinner. But to each their own. Enjoy!
