We just returned from our Disney trip and I wanted to give an update on the food we enjoyed while there! We are not on a dining plan:
Magic Kingdom -
Columbia Harbor house - family enjoyed the tuna sandwich, fish and chips and salad...all yummy! Ate upstairs, very empty and relaxing.
Pecos Bills - Build your own burger and taco salads, all big hits with family, all food fresh at the build your own counter. Restuarant pretty hectic.
Epcot - Sunshine seasons - enjoyed beet/pecan salad...sounds terrible, so yummy! Family enjoyed sandwiches, chinese stir fry was average. Hectic to find a table.
Hollywood Studios - Sci-Fi - thoroughly enjoyed Beef and Blue salad - fantastic, family enjoyed burgers and milk shakes. Seated quickly, wonerful experience.
Animal Kingdom - flame tree barbeque - family enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches, salad was pretty good, found a table overlooking water and EE, very relaxing, plenty of tables. Ordered fruit platter, family enjoyed it, but I had to slice it, pineapple, watermelon, canteloupe still on rind. It was refreshing, but was some work.
downtown disney - Earl of Sandwich - family LOVED meatball sandwiches and soups. Great prices, stressful to find a table.
Polynesian - O'Hana - great food, enjoyed the salad (got dressing recipe), wings, shrimp, beef and bread pudding...all wonderful. Felt a bit rushed and the place was a bit loud and crazy. We enjoyed our previous visit much more than this time.
Boardwalk - ESPN - average food, wouldn't go back unless a good game is on :)
Boardwalk - bakery - yummy muffins and desserts!
Ft. Wilderness - HDDR - wonderful show and wonderful meal. Ribs fell off bone, yummy friend chicken. Family loved salad and mashed potatoes and dessert.
Also, other favorites - cream cheese stuffed pretzels, dole whip floats and caramel/chocolate apples at MK!

We would definitely agree with you on Columbia Harbour House and FlameTree BBQ. Two of our favourite places to eat because of both the food and the seating.

Upstairs at Columbia Harbour House is like another world. Quiet and so far detached from the hustle and crowds of MK.

As for the water seating at FlameTree. We like it so much we even ate there when we bought our lunch at the Yak and Yeti CS one year.:rotfl2:

It's nice when you find a place to get away from the crowds, and it was crowded last week! My husband decided he prefers ts, just so he didn't need to search for a place to sit while eating (like at sunshine seasons and earl of sandwich).

Thanks for the reviews! We are planning on eating at several of those places on our up-coming trip!:cheer2:

Thanks for the quick reviews. I like reading ones from folks not on the dining plan, as we don't ever do it.
