Our family could use your prayers...again*Another UPDATE* Post 18

My cousin in NC called this afternoon to inform us that my aunt was admitted to the ER and that her cancer has come back. She had lymphoma in her neck in '98. She is having a lymphnode removed from her neck and CT scan done as they think it is in her abdominal cavity as well. This is one special woman who needs prayers, please.

My moms cousin had a slight heart attack two weeks ago and had to undergo a catheritization (sp). With my Dad passing just 8 weeks ago, our family could definitely use a break.

Found out last night that besides the lymphoma recurring, and possibly in her abdomin, she has cancer in her knees and ankles. Seems as though it's all through her. She's a fighter and I hope she continues to be, she's also a joker so we are hoping she will pull through.

It's been a rough 8 weeks

Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. Found out yesterday that her liver, kidneys and spleen are all enlarged so we will see what course of action they are planning to take. Why does this continue to happen to all the good ones?

Besides my beloved Aunt Cookie in NC with the cancer my other aunt (the one whose husband just had the heart attack) had surgery on her knee Friday. She was admitted to the hospital on Sunday with numerous blood clots in her lungs. They were trying to get a central line in but couldn't. They had to go through her femeral artery. She then proceeded to bleed rather heavily from the site in her neck. That is now swollen beyond belief and to prevent blood from seeping into her airway they intubated her. As of last night, only one clot remains and they put screens into the arteries leading into her heart so they can't pass through. They flew her out to a different hospital on Monday morning

Our family is just falling apart. We could use all the good thoughts we can get. I'm about ready to I don't think I can take much more.

*Another update but it's not good*

My aunt in NC went to the oncologist today and she will be starting chemo tomorrow and on Saturday will be going into the hospital for 2 units of blood.

The doctor told her that if she didn't have the chemo that she would have 4-6 weeks

However, with the chemo she has a 20% chance of going into remission.

Please, please, please send her good thoughts.

There is this black cloud hanging over my family right now and I just can't take anymore
