Our experience using Genie+ with Large Family Group

We are going tomorrow with a group of 12, made up of 3 different families, and I'm in charge. Three of the children in our big group have accounts managed by another adult BUT those children appear in my Friends and Family list (as well as under the list, "My Planning Party: Reservations Shared with My Family & Friends" when I log in on a web browser). So far, I have been able to book ADRs and park reservations for those children, even though I do not manage their accounts. I'm hoping/assuming this would also be the case when I try to reserve LLs tomorrow morning. None of us are staying onsite, btw.

So odd I dont know why a random bunch of both families are showing on mine and some not..I have adrs for everyone and I mad them all park passes..hopefully they can help at check in! Have fun!

This is us. Large group of 12 and I'm the planner. We've talked a lot about everyone's priorities for rides and other attractions, and I've created a loose touring plan, including ADRs, based on this. There will be a couple times when the family with the youngest kids may ride nearby kiddie attractions when the older group is doing something more thrilling (ex. younger groups rides stuff like Astro Orbiter or Buzz Lightyear while the older kids are on Space Mountain). But otherwise, we're mostly touring together - a lot of the fun for our group is being together!

Yup, exactly the same for us..we are family of 6 and always stay together all day, this time with a group of 14 will be no different (aside from a couple rides where the little may have to do Astro while we do SM) etc.

Are they all in your "planning party" list or your general "family and friends" list? I would assume if you were able to make park reservations for them, they would be in your planning party list.

I was able to confirm with someone else that as long you are connected properly, you should be able to make G+ reservations for children whose accounts are managed by another adult, so long as you are connected to those children as well. They were able to book LLs for their nephews whose accounts were managed by another adult.

I am also the Disney planner in my group of 10. Question on booking LL. Did I read somewhere that the owner of the account booking the LL has to be in the group they are booking for? For instance, can I book a LL for myself and a4 others for Haunted Mansion and then book the other 5 for Pirates? Will the system allow me to book their LL if I am not in the group? Thanks!

Update on max group sizes when booking LLs:

I had no problem booking for our group of 12 for any LLs or ILLs. However, when I deselected the 4-yr-old in our party bc she was too small to ride, leaving me with 11 people checked off, I got an error that said the max was 10. This happened anytime I deselected 1 from the entire party. So I could book all 12 or just 10. It was very annoying.

For the LLs, it wasn’t a big deal and I just booked for all 12 and then canceled the 4-yr-old’s LL after the fact. But you can’t do that with ILLs, and once you purchase, you can’t modify the number of guests. So I had to purchase ILLs for 10 of us and then someone else had to purchase the one extra separately and we just timed the windows within 5 min of each other.

Update from our trip..we really maximized G+ and went on everything! I was able to book for up to 12 (when the babe and 1 adult could not ride), and we needed to book for all 14 the other mom in the group booked a couple on her account and we did it together so almost always got the same time frame..the one exception was booking Slinky as we did that alone in our rooms at 7am, so ours were 2 hours apart, but we just went to a guest experience umbrella and they moved the smaller group to our larger group later time so we were together!

I saw a video from Kyle Pallo that Disney updated the Park Reservation system to fit large groups to make planning for large groups easier. Does anyone know if that affects Genie + as well?
