Since I started planning I was excited to create a TR of our adventure. We were in the world for only two days with a previous stop in Tampa to see the Yankees! We had a wonderful time!
We stayed at the Dolphin and have to say, we were a little disappointed with our overall accommodations. Our room smelled like stale smoke, but we didn't complain as when we arrived we were very tired and knew we weren't going to be at the hotel very much during our visit.
Day One - Magic Kingdom and Epcot
Our day started very early. We left the hotel at 7:15am and caught the bus to MK. The bus ride was pretty short. We purchased our tickets in the hotel beforehand (one day park hopper, cost $245 w/ tax) and had an easy time getting into the parks.
Our entrance into MK was breathtaking. I was a little bit emotional as we walked down Main Street and got our first glimpse of the castle. It brought back so many wonderful childhood memories that I was just overwhelmed. The CM greeters were out with their large mickey hands which was very exciting for DH and I. It was like we were being welcomed into such a warm and happy place.
The first thing we did was take some photopass photos and shots of our own:
and...the one I really wanted!!!
Tink!
My only regret of this trip was not prepurchasing the Photo CD. I didn't realize how great the pictures were going to be and the many borders I could use to create great pics. Oh well...lesson learned for next time!!
First stop was Main Street Bakery to grab some croissants and coffee. Then it was off to Tomorrowland for a classic - Space Mountain! We were on SM by 8:15 am lol. You definitely don't need coffee in the morning if you are on SM at 8:15am
Talk about a wake up!
By 9:30am we had gone on all the rides in Tomorrowland we wanted to:
Buzz Light Year
Stitch (some people hate, we loved it!)
Laugh Floor
Racetrack
Space Mountain
Taking advantage of EMH, even just a little bit was fantastic for us. Even on a busy holiday weekend, the lines were very short, no wait over 10 minutes.
DH scored over 23,000 points on BLY - He loved this ride!
We saw this little guy on our way to Tomorrowland and a bunch of his family members around the Kingdom.
We got there so early we saw a few characters coming out of the gate.
Next up... Fantasyland , Frontierland and Adventureland

I'd be interested in hearing more about your hotel accommodations... we're thinking about trying Swan for our next trip, and have never been there before. Certainly *all* the rooms don't smell like stale smoke. Were there any positives to outweigh that negative?
ranting at the manager on duty. I was able to eavesdrop a bit
and apparently his first room also smelled like smoke, someone in his family has asthma so they had to be moved. There was also a problem with obtaining and moving a fridge. Overall, I believe they had moved their rooms 4 times including the new room they were about to get when we were checking in. Perhaps we got their first room.
We did have a good view. We could see Paris from our room and the lake and the hotel complex itself. I had called ahead to try to get a king room since it was just DH and I, but they said they could not guarantee a king room. When we got there they didn't have any king rooms, but offered to put us in a king room the next night. We didn't feel like moving, and we are newlyweds, so a smaller bed was ok
we just used the other one to spread out our luggage.
