:) :) :) :) :) :)

We, Mom, Dad, Son (6), Daughter (2) decided (at the last minute) to go to Disney over Easter weekend. We love the WL and called to see if we could get a room on the concerige floor for Friday - Sunday (3/29 - 3/31). We got one at the rack rate...no discount, but it was only for 3 nights.

When we checked in on Friday morning, I asked if we could get a room with a bunk bed. The CM gave me a strang look. I thought, oh well, no bunk bed, what do we expect with making the res. 3 days before. The CM walked away and a manager came over. The manager said she could get us a room with bunkbeds, but they had us in the presidential suite (Yellowstone suite) and thought we would like that better!!!

We could not believe our luck, this room was unreal. 4 seperate balconies, 2 baths, a jacuzzi the size of a small country in the main bath, a formal dining room, an office, 2 big screen tv's, sound system through-out the entire unit, mini kitchen w/ fridge, m/w, 12 piece place setting of china, a king canopy bed in the master bedroom, tons of beautiful art work. Everything was done in the same WL theme. My son found these old wooden snow shoes, and as we were exploring our new room, he came tromping through wearing these snowshoes. Both of us screamed...take those off. It was cute (we are not telling him that right now, will will wait until he can appreciate it more)

The room was on the corner of the 7th floor. We watched the water parade from our main balcony. My son didn't want to leave, he wanted to live there. I think the rack rate on this room was $2400.00 per night. So based on that we got a great deal.

What a great weekend!!!

What a nice Easter Surprise! Did you take a lot of pictures? Please Post them if you did!

Did you fly or drive? My husband has had an unexpected schedule change at work and he has some time off and I was thinking, maybe, just maybe we could do a few days at WDW just like you did. My only drawback is thinking that driving from Maryland isn't practical for a few days trip. Booking a last minute flight, I'm afraid, would be too pricey.

I am the #1 Disney fan in the family (currently training DD to be a very close second), but he nearly flipped when I showed him your post. Congratulations on a major Disney coup (Easter weekend no less, amazing!). Despite downturns, Disney magic is alive and well!

Wow! Now thats MAGICAL!:D

What else did you do?

Tell us more! What a great surprise. That beats our getting a first class upgrade on our flight home.
