We got up bright and early Saturday morning and left for Florida. We drove 9 hours the first day and stopped at the Holiday Inn in Richmond Hills, Ga. This will not be our choice next trip. With 6 hours of travel remaining we got up and left early so we would arrive at the Contemporary around 1pm. We had no problem finding the Contemporary. It was our first time there. I informed them we were there and that I had to activate our annual passes before we could check in. They said it was not necessary since we had our renewal certificates and checked us in and our room was ready. We had a great room on the third floor of the North wing just 4 rooms from the tower. We unpacked and headed for the Magic Kingdom. Guest Services was really confused when they saw our annual pass renewal certificates dated back in April. They wanted to renew them effective April, but fortunately we had our letter stating a full year from the date of activation. The young man said he had not ever encountered this, but was very helpful and nice. We entered the Magic Kingdom and went to the Aladdins Ride since we had never seen it. I was hit twice with water before I realized it was the camel spitting on people. We walked around and checked things out but since there was the MVMCP that evening we decided we would go back to the room to unwind, rest and get something to eat. We were real close to the food and Fun. At 10pm we heard some Disney music and went over to the balcony just in time to see the Electric Light Water Pageant. It was real neat and impressive. We had seen it once before but from the other side (backwards). We decided to call it a day as we have the Steam Train Tour scheduled for tomorrow. We went out in front of the building to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks .Monday to follow.
