Our Disney Store

My closest store in Littleton, CO is closing. I'll really miss it. We loved going to the events and stuff, and I think the one in Aurora and up in Flatirons are just too far away for us to want to go very often, if at all. It really stinks, I thought the one in the Denver area that they closed was the nicest of the three. :(

Here is a link to a post that seems to have the full list:

I wish all of you who wanted to see if your store was on it better luck than I had. :( But gee, at least I have my 15% off coupon. :sad2:

on the bright side for those of us with another DS closer to us they are offering a 15% off coupon to use at the other store. Luckly we live closer to the Tysons corner store which will remain open than we do to the Dulles Town Center store which is farther for us.

I'm sorry so many of you are losing your disney store. I used to live near a great disney outlet and I miss it now. :( They are closing the only one that is about 2 hours from here and I had hoped to hit it up :(.

The Belden Village store in Canton is closing next weekend.

What?! I had no idea and I was just there on Sunday! I was planning on heading back there this Saturday to look for a few things to give to my DD on Sunday when we go to Disney on Ice in Cleveland. Hope they still have some stuff left!

I just found out our store was closing :sad1: Valley View Mall in Roanoke, VA. I am so bummed, and it is closing in TWO weeks, who knows where the next closest one is....

We went from having 4 stores all within about a half hour to none. Went to one for a number of years and that one closed a few years ago. I almost never go to the mall anymore, it was whey we went. My family lives in Michigan (between Ann Arbor and Detroit) and all of their's left too. It is sad we miss it so much.

Don't expect too good of deals for a while, at least in my experience. It seemed like the shipped lots of the good stuff to other stores (though maybe with so many closing this will be different.) They had almost nothing and it slowly went on sale though the last few days what they did have was very cheap. All fictures were for sale but that did not include the characters around the ceiling or antying, just shelves and stuff. (DH was hoping to get me a piece as a memory of my years working there.)

Unfortunately in our experience the sales were almost as disapointing as hearing the store was cloding. Well, not that bad, but not very impressive.

yup when the two around here closed a few years ago it was like they were open one day and then gone. We don't have one within almost 200 miles now.

I was really sad when the one I went to for years closed. I now have one near me and wouldn't miss it if it were gone. Unless you have little children, there's nothing there worth shopping for. I loved the old one with adult clothing, watches, things like picture frames, etc. in addition to the children's stuff.

Yep, add Dulles Town Center in Northern Virginia to the list of stores closing 2/20. but thankfully we have another one about 40 minutes away if we really need our Disney fix...

I tried to find out from the manager about future sales and he wouldn't/couldn't provide any info. Right now they are 25% off select things but nothing really stood out for me. I guess I'll just scope out this store over the next few weeks for some bargains.

I have been without my Disney Store for almost 2 years now. The closest one is about 45 mins from us. We do go occasionally when we want to dine at RFC there is a Disney Store in that mall. I do have to say I really miss mine.

I agree, my kids are 11 and 8 and there is nothing for them anymore except maybe tshirts for our disney trips. They aren't interested in the toys/stuffed animals anymore. :( I would just go in there for my Disney fix....the video playing scenes from the park, the Disney feeling. Sometimes they would carry adult stuff. I'm still sad it's closing.

THe store I work at in Opry Mills (Nashville) is closing also. I will miss it greatly. I LOVE working there!

As for the discount schedule for stores, there is nothing set in stone. It all depends on the stores stock on hand as to how they mark down merchandise. Most stores will not know a discount change until late the evening before one comes along...sometimes not until the morning of.

Thanks for letting me know! That confirms what the guy told me -- which was, he didn't know!:rotfl2:

Oh - when is Florence closing?

they should really put one in at Kenowwod - I never understood why they left the one in Florence open - very few people from the Ohio side ever venture over there!
..

Give it some time! Kenwood is the spot that they no doubt regret leaving.

Oh - when is Florence closing?

I live in West Chester and was thinking about heading out there this weekend - I haven't been in FOREVER...

There are people in KY that shop too.

Yes, they should put one in Kenwood, as I can almost see Kenwood from the end of my street! :lmao:

Very sad about Florance though. My DD worked at the Northgate store until they closed.

Maybe we Cincinnati area/NKY folks should have a Dis Meet at the Florance store before they close.

Are all of the Disney stores closing?

Oh no! My local store is on the list. :sad2:

I really don't understand the GA stores. The closest one to me is at the Mall of GA, which I love. You go in and they always have a great selection of stuff, and there is usually a ton of shoppers no matter what time of year it is.

And then there's the one in Discover Mills, which in my opinion is terrible. All they ever seem to have is "clearance" stuff. And there's hardly ever anyone in there shopping or buying anything. I was really surprised when they opened it, and when I heard about the closings, I really figured that it would be on the list, but it's not.

What even crazier is that these two are less than 20 minutes apart!! Sorry to hear that you are losing yours!

The Belden Village store in Canton is closing next weekend. We stopped by this week and were surprised how soon they're clearing out. Our favorite store at the mall.... we were sad to hear it.

That really stinks!!! Was hoping they'd be staying open since Summit Mall's store closed, :(
