Our Disney 'Dream Weavers' September 1, 2011 (update 12/30)

I'm so behind on my subscriptions, so I am happy you are going slow!
I did that tour once too. It's Ok, but like you said, don't need to do it again.

After a very HOT walk around Nassau, we headed back to the ship. Oh, but before we could do that, we had, HAD to get our passports stamped (almost forgot again)!

If you haven't gone to get your passport stamped, you need to do this. We had 'instructions', thankfully or would of never, ever figured this out. Before you take the walkway back towards the ships, there is a 'guard shack' to the right of the port. It's right at the 'fenced' area where 'outsiders' can't get in and you can't get out. We asked there and were instructed to go down to this other building, inside, down the hall to the last office. It was pretty deserted in there, but we come to this lonely little office with this very sweet gal who truly, looked at our passports, looked at us and made sure we matched before she stamped them

We saw this cute 'cruise' ship on the way out.

When we got back to our room, it was all made up so nice and pretty again :)

Tonight is Pirate Night, so we got our invite and bandannas

We had a nice lunch of course (food, oh my goodness, so much food all the time) and then headed to the pool to relax. We met up with our friends, Lisa and Pete at the adult pool and enjoyed some adult time :) (granted my kids are adults so they came and went throughout the afternoon).

What a great time!!!

I'll have to remember the passport stamp! I was always very excited to see my Dad's passport when he traveled all over Europe when I was little. He would say not every country stamps and I would get so mad that they didn't! I still can't believe I''m 26 and don't have one yet!

subbing :) we are set to go in July in 7194 right next to your room, so I am loving this report. thank you!

i have a question, what time (more or less) are you done with late seating dinner?

Enjoying your TR! We got on the ship rather quickly ourselves. Less than 30 minutes from arrival.

Thanks for taking time to post your trip report. Love reading and seeing your pictures.

Thanks for your TR I enjoyed it. Does everyone get a pirate bandana or is that just for returning cruisers? Fantasy cruise in Sept.

Well as you can tell, I kind of stink at TR! Takes me forever and a day to complete these. We had lots of family things going on and I just wasn't making time for the Dis. But with our upcoming Magical Cruise to Canada in 52 days I better get this done!

After we got settled from some time in Nassau, we spend some quiet time enjoying the ship. It's amazing that 4000 people on the ship and you can still find places where there is no one around. Some photos as we left port.

Good to see you back! I always love your reports...no matter how long they take

Thanks so much Jennifer! I'm planning another update today (in between all these reports I'm doing for work right now, lol)!

I have loved reading your report. I hope you don't mind me asking a question.
We have rooms 7194, 7192 & 7690 booked for Thanksgiving 2013. I was wondering if we would be able to watch the fireworks from our veranda? We would love to watch them but my DD age 7 is terrified of the sound.
Thank you for any info you can share. :)

We went to dinner at the Royal Garden that evening

Afterwards we returned to our room (and saw this creature)

To answer the question . . . Yes, you can see the fireworks. You cannot hear the the soundtrack though. It was nice though avoiding the crowds while enjoying the photos with just our family
