I LOVE Disney but can't afford to jet off to Orlando as often as I'd like. This is a fun idea if you enjoy Disney but can't visit often and want to do some Disney at home on a budget.
I could use a Disney Fix so I'm going to organize a Disney Day
for our family to enjoy. I hope to do Disney Day on Friday and I'm trying to keep Friday free for it.
Here's our Disney Day.......
Dd and I will wear our Disney clothes. We usually do anyway. LOL We will also use our Disney plushes throughout the living room for decoration. The dog has a Disney bandana and she can wear that. She also has a doggy shirt with Mickey Mouse on it that she can wear.
Breakfast is a surprise--PB&J milkshakes from 50's Prime Time! They sound gross but are really, really good. It'll be a regular school day (we homeschool), but throughout the day I hope to sprinkle pixie dust.
Lunch will be Mickey chicken nuggets (bought a bag at Target) while listening to Disney music. I might get some pineapple and caramel (Ohana) for dessert with that. Our everyday lunch plates are Disney themed already, and I have Disney placemats.
I'm making recipes from WDW for dinner. We will have Le Cellier's cheddar cheese soup with soft pretzels for dinner and will play Off Kilter (the group that performs in Epcot's Canada--matches the Canadian soup) or regular Disney music during dinner. Dessert will be Dad's Brownie Sundaes from 50's Prime Time! I've made the Le Cellier soup before but it's been a while.
We will play some Disney themed games before and after dinner. If I can get to the party or dollar store, I will buy a few balloons to make it festive and to tie in with the Celebrate Everyday theme.
We will end our Disney Day with a Disney movie while using our Disney popcorn buckets and WDW refillable mugs. We might do 2 Disney movies if we have time.
I'm so excited about our little Disney Day! If you like Disney and need a fix, give a Disney Day at home a try. : )
