Hi! I hope to make this very much to the point......If I can answer any question for any of you, I would be happy to!

April 22 - Picked up our DD from school at 12:00 noon and hit the road. Headed south on 95 and found our way quickly and without incident to our stop for the night....Florence SC. Grandma packed wrapped gifts for DD to open when we crossed the border of each state...great idea, I recommend it for those of you who drive.

April 23 - Pulled in to the Caribbean Beach at nearly 2:00 pm. Our check-in was brief and efficient despite the cast member being a trainee....although lacked some magic as I think he was just so busy trying not to screw things up! We got all of our requests including a first floor,non-smoking room in the Jamaica building (which we had faxed a few days prior to our arival). The room was lovely as usual and we were thrilled that the rooms now include a nice sized fridge.
Off to MGM. Lines and waits were not bad. Fast passed RRC and jumped in a 20 min wait for TOT. Got caught in a brief storm.....enjoyed lot's of other attractions...it was good to be back. Sci Fi for a late night meal (didn't have PS).....the food has not improved but the atmosphere is awesome. The only thing that we all agreed was good was the BLT soup. The kids chicken nuggets were inedible and DH salad was literally warm. Save this spot for a milkshake mid afternoon or for desert!
One note here....it was Grad week the week we were there (and there were lot's of school field trips)....and that stunk! I am not saying that the kids shouldn't have fun, but, let's just say that having thousands of seniors running around the parks and acting "goofy" really changed things for us. The kids were smoking, very loud and obnoxious, and at our resort we often found beer cans laying around and lot's of the lovely flowers broken off. The seniors were basically on their own and pretty much out of control. The fact that all of these kids were in the park made wait times longer as well. I may get flamed for this but it truly is our family's opinion that it was a bummer!

April 24 - Off to EPCOT and toured the World Showcase all day. Temps were in low 70's and not a cloud in the sky - perfect! Ate a ton of stuff from around the world and DD went to every Kid Cot Fun Stop - purchased a "passport" for her to get stamped also - fun! Flower and Garden show amazing! Take lot's of film!
later, off to MK and had a blast but FROZE...it was chilly. Glad we packed long pants! MK was extremely crowded with very long waits. Wishes fireworks were like nothing I have ever seen...it truly brought a tear to your eye....very moving. Tink flying from the castle was amazing. Watched from bridge between Fantasy Land (I think) and the castle....perfect! Came back to TONS of towel animals that were very well done.....a new little surprise for our DD each evening too!

April 25 - To the Contemporary for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We have had dinner there in the past, but, we felt that the breakfast was much better. Great food including PB&J pizza, french toast, fruit, bacon, buscuits and gravy and ton's more. Excellent character interaction!! Will def do again!
Later, off to AK. Probably had the best safari ever with a giraffe nearly peaking her lovely head right in the truck and tons of animals out and about. Viewed the parade from a bench right beside Tuskar House (best coffee in the DW there by the way). Perfect vantage point for a gorgeous parade! Dinner at the Rainforest Cafe - food was delicious - Pot Roast and Jumbalaya to name a few. A reminder though - if you leave AK after the closing time, you will be on a bus with nearly every other resort....took us 45 min to return to the CB.

More later........... ::MickeyMo

I was also at the MK the evening of 4/24. It was chilly (and I was wearing jeans and a heavy sweatshirt) and crowded (unless you wanted to go on Splash Mountian!!)

We were at WDW April 23- May 6. I agree with you on the first week with the senior trips. They were quite annoying. We stayed at the CBR at the end of our trip.

I was at MK too on the 24th and it was so cold I immediately had to buy a sweatshirt with everyone else! It was a mad rush to get sweatshirts, anyone notice? They were going so fast, the CM were pulling them from the back still on the moving rack!

Mrs Groove,

My question is: Where do you but the passports for Epcot?

Thanks for any assistance

Regarding the passports for EPCOT.....we bought ours at the gift shop in Mexico. I am sure that you can get them at any of the countries.

Yikes! I remember Senior year and the crazy stunts we pulled. That said, I agree with avoiding it if you can  ... and people complain about the cheerleaders ;)

That's interesting about the cold spell and at that time of year, nobody's really prepared for or expecting it.

I agree, Tusker House coffee is the best in WDW. What a neat incident with the giraffe.

Sounds like you had a great time.

What was CBR like? We arrive next Wednesday and have read mixed reports about it. It has cost us so much money (with flying from England) i am just hoping that it is worth it!! It is our first time on-site.
Love from UK
