Getting ready to make ADR's for our May 2010 trip. I'd love feedback. Here's the plan:
First leg of the trip, immediate family is staying at BCV for two nights. That's me, DH, DS5, DS4, and DD1... We plan to get the DxDDP and spread it over three days.
Arrival day: Chefs de France (dinner)
Day 2: Beaches & Cream (lunch)
Brown Derby (dinner) (Fantasmic Package)
Day 3: Cape May Cafe (breakfast)
50's Prime Time Cafe (lunch)
*I know Beaches & Cream may not be the best spent TS credit, but we're likely to only try it while we're on the DxDDP. Which we've never done before!
Then we go over to Universal Studios for a 2 nights where we will meet up with our extended family. We'll be back to Disney Mother's Day evening, staying in a Grand Villa together at BLT (at Contemporary.) We will get regular DDP for 5 nights. Add to us, 4 adults and nephew age 6 and niece age 4.
Day 1: CRT (breakfast)
Day 2: Sci Fi Drive In (lunch)
Day 3: Chef Mickey's (dinner)
Day 4: 'Ohana (dinner)
*My biggest concern is CRT. I'm inclined to want to pay out of pocket and just take the 3 women and 2 girls and use the 2 DDP credits elsewhere. DH thinks the 3 boys are young enough they'll want to go, so the 3 men are stuck coming along. (The men are the 2 Dads and Grandpa, so they'd deal with it!) One family really may be concerned with the cost OOP and prefer using dining credits even if it means less TS meals. They're also leaving early on Day 5 so no need for more TS meals really.
*Other concern is we went all together to Chef Mickey's on our last big family trip (2007) but the kids were little and I'm sure they would be happy to do it again. It's maily on the list because it's so conveniently located for us and is a no brainer no matter what mood the kids are in. I am open to other suggestions (unless they take more than 1 TS credit!)
*I want to end our trip on a high note. Dinner at 'Ohana might not fulfill that. For instance last time we ended our trip with MNSHP which was perfect! Maybe we'll go to 'Ohana then fireworks or something. Suggestions?
