The first night we got there we had ressies for the 8:00 Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. We did not like this show at all.:o We ended up leaving halfway through it because ALL 4 kid's were crying(probably from boredom)The food was'nt that good and the story was boring. Maybe it got better towards the end but the only good thing we got out of it was the family picture!:)

Next dinner show- Hoop Dee Doo.LOVED it!! We've been to this show about 5 times now but this time was our DD's 5th B-day. They made it very special for her. They came to our table and had her speak into the microphone asking her her age, where she's from(she said"Plymouth") Everyone laughed and the guy said, Plymouth rock?

Character breakfasts: Chef Mickeys and Chrystal Palace were both delicious! We love the buffets! Excellent service. If we HAD to pick one to eat at we would probably pick Chef Mickeys because of Mickey and Minnie but both were great!:)

We also had ressies for 50's Prime Time at MGM. REALLY fun!! Our waiter kept sitting with us. I got a caesar salad and asked for more dressing. Our waiter told me to go get it myself!;) Then when I did'nt finish the salad he tried to feed it to me! The girls (5 and 6) ordered a milkshake to share. The waiter brought them two WATERS and told them the shake was'nt ready yet and they both started crying!! It was all in fun and we laughed the whole time!:)

Cape May Cafe- LOVED IT!!! We have eaten here before and go back every time! Love the steamers and the desserts are to die for!;) $25.00 a person but worth it.

Thanks for the reviews! We're in complete agreement about the Spirit of Aloha show. I felt like crying at the show, also from boredom (and I was 41 at the time)!!! By the way, my 10 and 12 year-old daughters thought it was less than spectacular, and they're not prone to cynicism. Why did they need to add the ridiculous story line? I think it's really an insult to the audience's intelligence. We also LOVED the Hoop De Doo; the show is hysterical. Have been to all the other restaurants you mention and really enjoyed them all, especially the Crystal Palace.

Too bad about the Luau show!:( We went several years ago when our kids were 3 and 6, it was the old show with the characters, Mickey,Minnie, Goofy, Donald and C&D! It really held our kids attention. They used to only do it once a night, the early show like 5pm. They should bring that back!:D

We have the same opinion of the Luau. I almost fell alseep in my chair I was so bored. We'll try the Hoop Dee Doo next time.

Great reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

No problem! We also ate at Planet Hollywood at DTD and that was real good too! The waitress was so nice; she kept talking to the kids. My DD told her that she turned five the day before and the waitress brought out a big brownie sundae with a candle on it big enough for us all to eat!!:)

Thanks for the reviews. I'm sorry to hear about your experience at Spirit of Aloha Luau. As you can see by the other replies, your experience was not unique. Hopefully WDW will revamp this show to make it more entertaining. Other than that experience, it sounds like you had some fun and yummy meals. I especially enjoyed reading about your DD's birthday experience at HDD! :D
