We arrived at 8.30 am (already had Orlando Flex Tickets) and got a parking space with no problems.

Went straight through to get a locker and 2 towels and after slapping sun lotion on we headed to the rides. Here's my opinion -

Lazy river - good to have double rings so DH and I could go round together (altho it did mean he paddled us under all the waterfalls etc where I usually try to avoid them!). It's not as long as TL or BB but it was nice.

Roa Rapids (the Crazy River) - absolutely brilliant! We really enjoyed this

Taumata Racer - really enjoyed this too - it's faster than the taboggan run at BB and it goes through the dark and turns corners too

Walhalla Wave and HooRoo Run - a bit disappointed with these. Neither is as long as the family ride at BB nor as exciting as the one at TL

Tassies Twisters - great fun. Adults in pairs seemed to get more out of it than kids or single riders as the weight meant you went round the bowl more times.

Dolphin plunge - DH wasnt that impressed - I enjoyed it. I went down slower than he did, didnt get water in my eyes and DID see the dolphins as I went through the tube.

Whanau Way - another OK ride - don't remember it particularly, I think it was similar to the double tube rides at TL and BB

The wave pools at Aquatica are a lot smaller than TL and I think a bit smaller than BB. They are quite nice though and style wise more like TL than BB. I enjoyed bobbing around for a while.

Food was OK - nothing special but OK. I personally have never had a decent meal at SeaWorld (Discovery Cove is a different story) so I wasnt expecting much but I was happy with what I had. Frozen cold drinks were good - was nice to get something other than soda or coffee!

One disappointment for us was that there are NO Postcards of Aquatica - they arent selling them (maybe they will in time)

All in all - we were unsure whether to go to Aquatica having read several bad reports about the park but having been there I would definitely go back and can say we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 hours there. The temperature reached 100 degrees the day of our visit but there was enough shade that we didnt burn and the pathways were manageable with bare feet.

Wow, 100 degrees and still had a great time! Did you go during the week?

How would you rate the lines for the slides???Compared to either BB or TL?

Thnx very much!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It was a Thursday when we went but it was not long after the US schools were out for summer so I think there were a lot of families on vacation.

The lines weren't too bad. The worst was for the dolphin slide. Other than that the only 'daft' one was for the 'toilet bowl' (Tassies Twisters) because the line extends into the lazy river and you have to stand against the edge waiting until you can get out and go up the stairs. Everyone was very well behaved though!

At times you were queueing in the sun for a bit longer than was ideal but it wasnt unbearable and as I said earlier there was a fair bit of shade which helped.

I went to aquatica not too long ago and i loved it. the walkabout waters is my most favorite place. when we first got there they didn't have any large lockers so we had to buy 2 small ones for our stuff. little hint here only bring what you really need. i love their new cups that they have. also wanted to let you all know that boogie boards are not allowed at aquatica so don't bring them. small food items are ok but no coolers
