We're getting closer and closer to our DLR/D23 Expo vacation from September 9-13, the hours have been posted and most of the events during the Expo have been announced. So I made up what our schedule will roughly look like...Can you tell me if it all will work okay? I'm totally new to DLR so I'm not 100% on everything. Keep in mind that I don't normally plan everything down to the minute like this, but since we're going for such a brief time and with so much to do, I wanted to get the most out of our vacation.

SEPTEMBER 9TH we arrive late at night, so nothing is happening then!

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH

8:00am - Early entry into Expo since I'm a D23 member.

10:00am - Bob Iger Keynote address

11:00am - Disney Legends Ceremony

After this there's nothing definite planned at the Expo. We'll probably hang out until the end of the Expo day this day. Sooo...

5:00pm - Leave Expo, head to Disneyland Park

7:00pm - Watch Celebrate! A Street Party

After that we'll just hang at the hotel and explore I guess!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH

8:00am - PS for Goofy's Kitchen! Whenever we're done with Breakfast, head to the Expo.

11:00am - Dick Cook Keynote Address.

After that we may chill at the Expo a little longer, but we plan on dedicating most of our afternoon to the parks, So...

Afternoon - DCA

3:30/4:30pm - Drawn to the Magic Show.

7:00/8:00pm - Leave DCA and head to Disneyland Park.

9:25pm - Disneyland Fireworks show

10:30pm - Finish the night with Fantasmic!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH

8:00am - Magic Morning at Disneyland

10:00am - DCA

Afternoon - D23 Expo

2:00pm - Jay Rassulo keynote address

6:30pm - Napa Rose dinner!

Evening - Downtown Disney exploration after Dinner!

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH

Morning - Expo

11:00am - John Lasseter keynote address

Afternoon - ??? We'll either head over to the parks or stay at the expo to make... the 2:00 Wizards of Waverly Place show.

At 7:00ish we'll leave for the airport.

Does all this sound okay? I'm concerned about when Downtown Disney shops close on Saturday.... and what do you think we should do with our last afternoon? The parks or the Wizards show? Thanks all! :goodvibes

2:00 Wizards of Waverly Place show? Ooh what's that! My DDs love WoWP!!

i like your itinerary! i was having a hard time trying to write mine out but yours has helped me out. Keep in mind that the show floors close at 5pm and also, if you havent looked, there is a way to view the calendar at the disneyland website that tells you the park times and show times (although it looks like you're on top of that - but for other readers i guess!). also, you might want to think about how long it takes to walk from the park to the expo center, and from your hotel to the center as well. from the books ive read and people i've talked to, its a 10-15 minute walk from the center to the parks and if you do go to the WoWP thing (jealous! ill have to be grabbing my stuff to go home by then), there will be a LOT of people trying to get good spots so you might want to get there extra early for that.

I'll be there too, but so many of the expo offerings look so good my day will be pretty chopped up (I'll be coming off a 4 day DLR visit, so maybe not a bad thing, but my friend who is flying in to go the expo may want more park time...)
My reallywanttodos::
Thurs: Bob Iger address & Legends ceremony, The World of Vintage Disneyland, maybe Imagineers, ABC and/or Making a Disney Toy
Fri:Disney Cruise Line, Dick Cook presentation, making of WOC, maybe making Theme Park Music and Making of Toy Story the Musical
Sat:Maybe So you want to be an imagineer, Jay Raulo address, Growing up Disney and Disney Family Museum
Sunday: Making of Toy Story mania and John Lassiter (whoohoo!) then off to train
Alot will be determined by how bad the crowds are and how hard it will be to get into some of the seminar..Also, how much stuff there will be to see and so on the convention floor...
