MSEP has different characters and floats, yepp. I read somewhere that the lights are supposed to be brighter. And the feel of the two parades are different.

you brought your yeti's on your trip, right? Can you only buy them in AK? I'll be going to WDW in a while, but we won't be going to AK... do you think they would have them in DTD or something?

Yep, the Yeti's came with me! Hmm... I got my big yeti at AK and I got the small one with the Christmas hat at DTD... I'm guessing he was only at DTD because it was Christmas time? I'm not sure if you can get the big one at DTD, it wouldn't hurt to look though!

July 8th
Day 3
Animal Kingdom

Everybody was up and ready to go at 9:00am this morning, J and I were excited to get going, because we had two missions for today! #1 See if they sell the Trumpet Dinopup at AK and #2 Ride EE two times in a row

Here I am ready to go:

We made our way over to the bus stop and I was pretty surprised (good surprised) when we got there! The benched were lined up in rows, there was a tv there on the channel where it shows you information about your resort, and there was a CM there whose purpose was to answer your questions about buses/resorts/parks. Neither the Poly or the Contemporary had a CM at the busstop like that. I thought it was pretty cool that even GF's busstop was fancy!

Quick side story here-
We got on the bus and it's not too crowded, but this family sits right nearby us. Literally ten seconds after the bus starts moving their kids (the couple had like five or six kids with them) started shouting at each other, they were punching and hitting each other, they were complaining and whining, they were yelling very loud, and they were crying. The parents just sat there like nothing was wrong... okay... So, the family was really annoying. I didn't want to say anything, because I didn't want them to hear me, so I pulled out my cell phone and typed a text message that said something like "Geez... these people are annoying!" and showed it to J (who I was sitting with) he nodded and agreed.

FINALLY, we got off the bus and away from the loud crazies. Before we knew it, we saw this very big tree:

We had a plan of action and that was for my dad to go to EE and get 5 FP's (three for my mom, J, and me and then two for J and me to ride again). While my mom, brothers, and I went to Dinoland USA.

We went straight for Primevil Whirl- we love this ride, it's so much fun! Spinning, feeling like you're going to be thrown off, going down hills, it's a lot of fun. Normally the line is at least twenty minutes long, but we waited for less than 10 minutes!

After PW, my dad was waiting for us by the exit. J and I wanted to go into the giftshop that was close by to look for a dinopuppet. They didn't have any, but we did find Toy Story 3 Silly Bandz!

Joe and I both got a pack. I looked to see if they had Mickey silly bandz, but they didn't. I was supposed to get my cousins (DC4 and DC6- well DC5 and DC6 now- remember, my cousins who came with us on our April trip?) Mickey Mouse sillybandz from WDW, and that was another mission of mine. Our last day of this trip was DC5's birthday, and he had told me since I wouldn't be home to get him Mickey Silly Bandz. So, we were going to have to!

We left the gift shop when J asked if we could go to the giftshop by DINOSAUR. We did and we found some dinopuppets, just not the ones we were looking for

Since we were right by DINOSAUR, my mom suggested we go on it- there was absolutly no wait. I was all for it, and J was good with it (even though it's not his favorite ride), my mom and dad were fine with riding it, but... Joe... wasn't. After his wonderful siblings told him how awesome it was (he had ridden it once before but the dinosaur had scared him half to death) he eventually agreed to ride it! So, we hopped in the line- even though there wasn't a line...

We were given the red card! Yay!

Don't you love how Joe has his head down? He wasn't even that scared... but I must admit, when all those dino's are coming right at you... it's pretty creepy!

After going back in time, it was time for us to use our EE FP's! So, while we went over to ride EE, my dad and Joe decided to see the Nemo show, since it was just about to start

J and I before we head to go ride EE!

The FP line

I sat with J (me and him ALWAYS sit together on thrill rides) and my mom sat with an English guy who had never ridden before.

My mom kept making sure I had the camera secured (yes, I was holding onto it!). J and I had different ideas... J told me to take pictures from our seats. So, I got a little adventurous with the camera...

After our ride, my mom went to sit down- with the camera, and J and I hopped into the FP line again! Funny stuff always happens when its just me and J riding EE. This time, we were seated towards the back and there were two kids (a brother and a sister) who were younger than us (I guess the sister was 11 and the brother was 9) who were in the seats infront of us. Well, apparently the girl had never ridden before, so her younger brother was comforting her. He kept telling her "It'll be alright, don't worry, it's fun!" and rubbing her arm, it was pretty sweet. Well, when we got to the part where you go backwards, I guess the boy lost his cool. They both started screaming like CRAZY, you would have thought they were going to DIE. Yeah, noramlly people scream on EE (I do!) but it's like a WOOHOOO! Excited scream. These two were screaming like they were being attacked by robbers. I felt kind of bad, they started screaming "I WANT MY MOM!" Of course, at the moment I found it kind of halarious... so J and I were laughing the whole ride.

Our ride photo was pretty funny too, but I didn't have the camera, so I didn't get a pic.

EE is such a great ride, it's in my Top 5 Favorite Rides!

Oh! And when you're waiting to be dopped backwards, I kept saying to myself "Please don't get stuck.. please don't get stuck..." because in April we were eating lunch at Flame Tree BBQ when we saw some people get stuck at that point and have to walk up the stairs. When I was on the ride, I looked at the stairs, and they were like... nothing... I couldn't even see a railing! My mom told me later that there was a railing, we were just seated so steep we couldn't see it.

So, we met up with my mother and went over to the Nemo show exit

While we waited, J and I occupied ourselves with the camera

Soon, Joe and my dad joined us. I asked them about the show and they said it was a... "Snoozefest!" surprise, surprise. But they said my mom and I would've liked it. Oh well, next time I'll see you Nemo!

It was hardly even noon and we had already done so much (thrills!)

Great onride EE pics!! I kinda feel bad for those kids who were afraid, but like you, I probably would have laughed hysterically! DBF's first time on Splash Mountain, he let out a bloodcurdling scream. The dad behind us laughed from the bottom of that huge hill until the ride pictures area-- he thought it was sooo funny that a 25 year old man was terrified of a kid's ride!

When I was on EE in June I had read your April TR (sorry was just a lurker at the time!) and kept thinking please do not let us get stuck...I love that ride but I'm not a huge fan of heights...so glad neither of us had to use the stairs

Haha- Splash was pretty scary the first time I went on it! I did not enjoy those birds pretty much telling me I was going to die.

Haha, sorry, lol, I wish I hadn't seen them get stuck! I was really freaked when I remembered about last time... I just had to keep thinking that the chances of that happening were 1 in 10000ish haha

AK was a lot of fun, oh yes, the second ride was very entertaining!

I said red card because I don't know the specific namething of it... it's the card that the CM gives you (in the standby line) to know how long the wait is. He pushes some button to start a timer for it, and when you get to the verrrrrrry end of the line you give it to the last CM you see before boarding and they punch in some buttons and then they'll know what the wait time is! It's like an honor when you get the card, haha

Nice Trip Report! I just joined and I'm caught up. We just got back last Saturday night. We did the Dinsey Cruise first before going to World. Next time its the World first then the Cruise so I can relax and rest my legs from all the walking.
