Our COMPLETELY New and TOTALLY Different 6th September Disney trip: A pre-trip report

Trip prep for today and yesterday:

*trip to Target to exchange too small Minnie and Mickey Halloween shirt (for me) and pick up shorts (for Dave). Dave, who was skinny to start with, keeps magically losing weight since cutting out gluten. I sort of hate him for this. Also found a solid black, long-sleeved tee for Milo's Oswald costume (in the girls' section. Shh!)

*laundry and cleaning. not the best part of getting ready.

*packing! I have most of the kids' outfits picked out and ready to go.

*kids rolled coins for souvenir money and set aside the pre-1982 (i.e. almost all copper) pennies for the pressed penny machines. Then they cleaned them up with some vinegar and....something (it all happened while I was walking the dog, I think):

There is just too much choice when it comes to ADRs, I like your two new additions, we done le cellier last year I really liked it and so did the kids, DH wasn't that impressed but I think he had over endulged at breakfast! We went for the lunch option which was only 1ts :thumbsup2

I get really exicted about packing but not so keen on the other stuff, laundry is always hitting the roof here but for some reason you feel when you are going on vacation that you need to get it all done and have the house cleaned from top to bottom :rotfl:

I'm going to keep checking to see if a lunch opens up at Le Cellier; it'd be great to get to eat there for 1 credit!

We have a house sitter coming to watch the dogs and cats while we're gone, so we really have to get it clean before we leave (which is probably a good thing; nothing worse than coming home from vacation, exhausted, to a messy house!)

Just checking in because....

We leave in 2 days!!!!!

I have an enormous list of things I need to do before then. And I need to go do some of those things now. Off to pack!

We leave tomorrow!!!!

I woke up with a nasty...cold? allergies? I think allergies. This morning. I took Zyrtec this morning, and I just read that it takes 3 to 4 days for it to hit its maximum effectiveness. That will be just in time. Ragweed's even worse in Florida than here, so I hope I can get it under control and don't feel stuffy and exhausted for the whole trip!

I won't! I have resolved that I will feel great!

DH is loading up the car. I'm supposed to be vacuuming, but I had to post my very last update.

I never got around to our last day. Oh well. It's the Halloween party. More details will have to wait for the actual trip report.

Here is Mickey hanging out with a bunch of stuff that still needs to be packed:

And that's it--I'm done!

For all those who are leaving soon and will be there at the same time as us: have a wonderful trip!!! Can't wait to hear about everyone's else's experiences when we get back!

Have a fantastic trip and a safe drive down. Take no less than 500 POP pics for me, K? I can't wait to hear all about it. Yippee!

We're back! Had a great trip (albeit with a few road bumps). I was a meticulous note-taker and a prolific photographer, and I'm excited to start the trip report! Hoping to get the first big installment up today...of course there's pesky stuff like unpacking getting in the way--not to mention we have a birthday party to go to today! So many things getting in the way of my trip report writing! Anyway, I'll link to it here when I get it started!
