Well this was our second trip at Christmas time. We went last year after Christmas. This year we went from the 22nd through the 27th.
Let me just say that we have been to Disney 9 or 10 times this was the BEST trip ever.
My family DH, DD 19 and DS 16 and I have decided we will never go in the summer again. It is just to hot for all of the outdoor time.
The weather was perfect. It didn't rain on us one time yes you read that correctly NO RAIN at all for our entire trip!
It was cool so my son who is always hot really enjoyed this trip.
Yes there were huge crowd but we never waited in line for anything longer than 15 minutes. The 15 minute wait was at Figment.
You just have to plan on the right park for the right day. And arrive EARLY
We would go to the park that had the EMH the night before. We would arrive at the park opening and do all the rides that we wanted.
The morning after Christmas we arrived at MK at 7:00. The park was pretty much ours until 10:30 when the huge crowds arrived. We rode Thunder mountain railroad got off got back on and saw that the people getting off the ride were the ones getting on when we had just exited.
We would go back to our resort for a few hours and then go back to the parks in the evening to enjoy the fireworks lights etc...
We stayed at BWV and just loved the location. It was so very convienent and we had no trouble with the bus service. We walked to MGM and EPCOT much quicker than the boats.
The resort was so pretty on the days leading up to Christmas BWV had free Christmas cookies and punch in the lobby in the evening. On Christmas Santa was in the lobby and we had a family picture taken with him.
We went to the candlelight processional with John Stamos and ate dinner at Le Cellier on Christmas Day.
I surprised my husband with dinner at Victoria and Albert's and it was wonderful!
We participated in the Christmas treep swap that triplefigs was so kind in arranging and we had a wonderful tree to put our presents under for Christmas morning.
It was a simply magical trip!
I want to thank all of you here on the DIS no way We could have had this great trip without your help
Let me know if you have any questions
Here are some Christmas pictures from Boardwalk
