Our Christmas Parade taping adventure

We had a "voucher" for Friday PM taping. Stopped by in the morning, just walked up and saw John O'Hurley and Vanessa Williams doing their "takes". We reported at the front of the park at l, as directed, was marched down to the castle, only to find out they were going on break for an hour. Went back to the castle at 2 and saw Paulina Rubio. Unfortunately her dress was a little too short in front and it took them two hours to figure out what to do with her dress. Finally they added a piece into the front of her skirt. Everybody just waited and waited. I don't understand why people have to sign up to participate in the audience (other than free parking/park admission). Anyone could have participated. If I had free park admission, I think I would enjoy the park instead of standing in the "audience", especially waiting for Paulina's wardrobe repair. I was surprised that there really wasn't that big of an audience.

At about 11-11:30 the crowd really started to thin out. We had been there since 8, and most were really tired of just standing around, so a large percentage of people, myself included, left. It sure was depressing to find that I'm not as young as I like to believe I am...my back, knees and feet couldn't take more than 3 hrs standing in one place. My lower back was screaming at me as I hobbled away from the Castle forecourt. I wish I could have staed to see John O'Hurley, but I was in such pain, it wasn't going to be possible.

Can anyone tell me how and when people get the vouchers for the taping?

I had the pleasure of attending a taping for the Drew Carey Show at Cleveland Browns Stadium. It was 90+ outside and we were directly in the sun. They moved this huge group of people all over the stadium. It was soooo boring and we ended up being nowhere near any cast members, ever. It was really cool to see how the episode came out though, especially since we had no idea what was going on at the time.
